It was a thrill to watch someone who doesn’t know they were being watched.
He didn’t bother hiding; Simply standing out of sight, behind her, should be enough. Few had the sense to check their surroundings when they were calm, and the afraid didn’t want to look over their shoulders and confirm their suspicions. Here, Micheal could simply monitor his prey, watching every move she made. pondering if this was her true self -- something only he would see. Something they now had in common.
He liked the connection, that’s why he took his time to stalk his prey first; It made every kill personal.
Without a sound but the breathing under his mask, Micheal steps forward, long but light steps closing the distance between him and the woman.. but that wasn’t fun; He had watched her, and now she had to see him. Micheal stops, looming over her from only a few feet away. He looks at the ground beneath him for a moment, then back to her, and in a deliberate motion he steps on a large twig, a pleasant tingle caressing his ear as the silence is broken by a loud ‘ snap ‘
