“No, your timing is as good as mine~” she chuckles, slipping the bell into her pocket . “So tell me, where is this tea happening?”

He couldn’t help but chuckle just a little as he eyed that little bell, wondering what exactly she used it for. Had she gotten it for the occasion? Well all the same, he glanced back to her and lifted a brow. Making a little mental note. 

“Well, I admit I’m still getting a bit used to the Rukongai, I haven’t exactly been surveying the local tea spots. So I do hope you don’t mind, but I was thinking I could try my hand at making us some, myself.” He offered, gently offering his arm to the woman once again as he had done before.

Though she sees him in the distance she jingles a little bell she’d managed to find. Maybe it’s too small to be particularly loud, but he’ll get the idea.

He almost chuckled as it turned out she had been a bit more serious about that bell thing than he’d given her credit for. No singer had the bell finished ringing than did the man promptly appear beside her in a flicker of green light, offering a bright smile to the Captain. 

“Well well well. Right on time. I hope you weren’t waiting too long for me.”

(Kyoka Suigetsu) Just gonna casually leave him homemade chocolate. Then she’s going to pick up a book and pretend she doesn’t know nothing. But the note says happy Valentine’s Day.

He can’t help but smile just a little at the .....stealthily distributed chocolates. It only takes him a moment to recognize the make of the little confections and he has to admit he’s impressed with the willpowr she’s mustered this time around. He gently closes the box and slips it under his arm. He’ll certainly have to remember to repay her on White Day.

A brow quirked slightly at that.

“I believe the proper term is ‘Rukongai’, I’ve yet to step into the Gotei Thirteen grounds. I’ve been staying with the Shibas. Though I do admit, I’m getting a lot more Shinigami visitors than expected.

As for why I am here, it would be a result of the wounds I acquired from Byakuya Kuchiki.” He stated simply. “This is where people wind up when they die, is it not? Or are you disappointed that I was not condemned to hell?”

and she leans backwards. trying to will away the blush growing on her cheeks that just gets worse when he catches her hand before she can push him away. no, don’t look at her cheeks.

“Hmmmm, well I suppose if you insist.” He murmured, gently releasing her hand and gently turning to take his leave of her. What a strange young woman indeed.

Well now he’s curious. Bending over her, practically eclisping her as he waits expectantly.

she shoves her hand in his face to push him away from her as she looks away. she’s not blushing, what are you talking about? “ nevermind! go away! “

Gently he smiles, catching her wrist before her fingers can touch his features, eyeing them for just a moment before he moves that arm off to the side and leans down, getting just a bit closer. 

“Oh come now, you’ve got me all curious.”He smiled, coyly pouting as he looked down to her, noticing those subtle little changes.

He smiles, gently reaching out and setting an arm about her shoulders. 

“Ah, don’t make that face Kyoka, you know I’m just teasing.”

her eyes glace at the bookmark before looking up at him again. 

“ just looking at your face caused it. “ wow akane, so mature.

He chuckles lightly at that. 

“Is that right? Well, so what happens now?” He asked, gently relaxing now, ceasing that idle flipping of the object as he watched her. After all, she did make a threat.

“I don’t disagree, no, but the fact that you are able to acknowledge what you did as being morally questionable points to the fact that you have grown or are growing beyond that.” No one is morally perfect, are they? The soul society has its fare share of questionable morals, traditions and rules long steeped over thousands of years.

“We live to long to not be able to change our ways and grow, I think.”

He can’t help but smile just a little. Such an interesting woman to be sure. 

“Is that so? What an interesting point of view. I’m afraid that as a human, few had the luxury of such far-sighted lifestyles. I look forward to enjoying the luxury.” He noted softly, content with this .....progress. There was still more he had to see from her. This, as poignant as it was. Was still just the surface of this woman. And he could not help but be curious  how deep she might turn out to be.
