The grass tickled at your exposed skin as your eyes fluttered open, meeting the shimmering smattering of stars on the face of the sky. Your head was heavy, and you autonomously lifted yourself off the ground and glanced about the grassy plain scattered with dandelions. You watched some seeds fly off in the wind, a few fleeing from where you sat. In the distance you saw a walled-off city in an island, a few lights still piercing through the night. You felt a sense of familiarity, then emptiness.
Your gaze dropped to the strange white garment that clothed you. It wandered to the hand planted in the ground. You lift it and hold it in front of you, watching your fingers curl and admiring the glint of the metal adornments of your glove. You were surprised any of this was happening—albeit mutedly as your head began to pound.
A motion alerts you to the figure floating beside you. It was that of something like a child, with silvery white hair and a dark four-pointed star in it, similar to the one on the halo bobbing over her head. Her clothes were of a similar palette, with the addition of a rosy bronze. Her dark blue eyes were widened in confusion, though they also hinted at a retreating melancholy. You watched in real time as it slowly gave way to hope, and she flinched back ever so slightly.
"T— Traveller?"
"Paimon?" You responded unbidden. She couldn't hold herself back any more, immediately launching herself at you and burying her face in your shoulder. You laughed automatically, catching yourself with one arm as the other reciprocated the embrace.
"You're back…" she murmured. "I didn't— I thought it wouldn't work."
"What wouldn't work?" You replied easily, beginning to slip into this role. "I'm right here."
Paimon sniffled. "Yeah." She pulled away to float in front of you. You stared at this child—Paimon, you'd called her—and wondered what she had done to bring you here. She called you a traveller, but she didn't give you a name.
Yet somehow, you thought you knew who you were going to be. Fragments of memories began to flash in your head through the silence. Already you felt a strain as you embodied it effortlessly, fitting into the mould of the picture you had formed. Destiny's hand guided yours to act in the guise of somebody whose memory still taints the world.
And you are sure.
You are Lumine, the Traveller renowned in numerous names throughout Teyvat, and the descender who had changed the fate of the world.
Or at least, that is whom you must pretend to be.
I got the idea for a fanfic that takes place long after the traveller's endeavours and departure in which Paimon makes a wish for her return, but instead of summoning the real one it creates you, an illusory replica.

Ok so what if we had new activities like cleaning the rooms after the patients are done, throwing the trash, restocking medicine, etc
This and also preventing anomalies from entering (stuff like sacrificing maple syrup to the bed monster, NOT fighting the anomalies)
And they add in a fuckass NPC called the technician or something who shows up occasionally and if you let him in at the counter he fines you and then makes some of the other tasks easier (heart scan more efficient, more time added to the surgery stuff like that) and probably idly fixes broken cams if there are any when he's there
Maybe there's a mini game if you help him idk I didn't get much farther than this
