Finished that 'Raven Branwen in a Suit' drawing but kept postponing sharing it.

I'm not entirely happy with the end result & may end up starting again.

But I'm going to upload it anyway.

i need to point this out because this goes beyond just “awooga she draw cute women”

if you read her notes you can tell, she draws experimentally, exploratorily. she draws to figure out, to test, to bend. which means that she puts so. much. tought. into her drawings. she draws to push herself, “how many body types can i give dwarves while still being recognizably dwarves?” “what types of clothing can i give this character while still feeling like the same character even if in dofferent contexts” “how would the anatomy of this magical creature work? how can i make it look organic and seamless”. she tries giving different yet distinct body language to each character, she pushes herself to do different body types, she goes out of her comfort zone, she sees things in real life and tried to figure out how to draw them.

THAT above anything else, literally anything else in art is the mark of a good artist

Been trying to start using mediums that I had previously used purely for refinement of past art for creating complete drawings.

It appears to no longer be in her Gallery so I sadly can't properly credit it in any way. 💔 But by any chance does anyone who follows a certain Miss Zech on Insta recall that one photo with the Butterflies? 🦋

Funny thing: this isn't actually the Final Version of this piece & its symbolic meaning has actually gone beyond simply Blake-ifying Arryn's original pic. I guess one could say it's kinda in it's 'Chrysalis State'. But I have to say, I honestly believe this is perhaps the best I've drawn Blake. 🥹

Version 2.0 of a 'classic' Bees sketch of mine. I wanted to see the improvement which I think is… mostly there.

WTF was I thinking trying to give the couch a material-surface effect?! Try not to look at it. It YUCK! 😅

Despite that, there are parts that I feel proud enough of to deem this uploadable (Yang's Arm! 🤩). Still, there's no reason I can't eventually try again for a 3rd time. 😏

Been a while since I was active in any meaningful way on Tumblr. I'm still not sure whether it's worth coming back. But while I think it over, might as well gradually start sharing a couple of Artworks that I've kept neglecting to upload for the best part of the last year or so.

I SAID BE QUIET! I don't know where you got this ridiculous idea that I wanted to hear you whine & complain on my work (which for the record, neither me nor the rest of humanity forced you to look at). You're not a friend. You're not a mutual creative. You're not someone I respect or aspire to be like. So why should I care in the slightest what you think? You having a stick up your arse about this couple - be they canon or fanon - is NOT my problem!

You want to know what my ACTUAL problems are? I work a 40 Hour per Week Job - plus occassional overtime - to keep myself in a home of my own; & have aquired a messed up sleep pattern as a result. The creative industry which I once had dreams to be a part of is getting multilated by slimy over-paid corpos & tech monkeys who soil themselves at the mere mention of a pencil. My body keeps finding new & fun ways to hurt me or pretty much deteriorate. And all of this is happening whilst a mob of greedy, heartless ratbags known as our world leaders + politicians are making it damn near impossible to live a happy & fulfilling life.

So if I can preserve what little is left of my sanity by drawing these fictional characters making kissy face, THEN I'M DAMN WELL GOING TO DRAW THESE FICTIONAL CHARACTERS MAKING KISSY FACE!!!
