Euripides, from “Orestes” (trans. Anne Carson) x Are Dan and Phil in a Relationship?
oh sister oh ruby red
hoo boy i finally finished that acoc ruby comic i started months ago. i am emotional
[ID: A three-page painted comic about Ruby Rocks from Dimension 20′s A Crown of Candy. Each page is long, with the painted scenes flowing into each other.
At the top of the first page, Ruby and Jet running and smiling with their weapons against a white background. The text next to it reads “you have played at war before. and it was not like this.” Below, we see Ruby in profile against a black background with shock on her face and blood running down her mouth. Three red lines go across her, one of which pierces Ruby’s throat. The text reads “it was not unbidden, with all the forewarning of a loosed arrow,”. Below that, Jet clutches Ruby’s hand as she lies in a pool of her blood on top of the carriage, and text next to it that reads “it was not your sister clutching your broken body, slick with blood,”. Below, there is a close-up of the muscle and bone around Ruby’s throat and chest, being healed by a purple magic glow. The text reads “it was not her begging your muscle and bone to stitch back together.”
The top of the second page is a close-up of Ruby’s hand clutching a burning piece of paper. There is text next to it that reads “you have played at heresy, too.” Below, there is a low-angled shot of Ruby and Jet sitting in the Cathedral of St Arugula, worry on their faces, and text that reads “and it was not crippling fear echoing like voices in a cathedral,”. Below that is a shot of Lapin’s lollipop staff, cracked and dripping with blood down the black page, and text next to it that reads “it was not death pooling like viscous chocolate on tiled floods,”. At the bottom of the page are the silhouettes of the party running, with text above them that reads “it was not the aching of your feet as you ran.”
The top of the third page is a shot of Ruby smiling with a faux-sad expression and her hand on her forehead as Jet laughs and walks away. There is text next to it that reads “you have played at grief before.” Black paint spatters the background as it fades from white to black, and reveals a red silhouette of Ruby clutching her head and staring at the camera, a deep anger and grief on her face as she cries. A black broken heart is at the centre of her chest. The black background is spattered with red paint until it becomes a background for the last scene, the black silhouette of Ruby on her knees in front of her sister’s grave. The final text above it reads “and it was not like this.” End ID.]

i love in mag 74 when jon says “they appear to be a man” and then quickly goes “or atleast male presenting!!”
classic queer behaviour (in the best way possible)
Very specific theory atm: Alice used to be on a similiar track as Gwen, getting into the deeper part of the organization but then she decided to wanted out. However, she knows too much, so she's not allowed to leave the organization, so she spends her days at the night shift in the OIAR. Now, she's not allowed to tell anyone too many specifics, lest something bad happens, but she tries to discourage people from investigating further. Because if they do, they're in deep.
My only evidence for this is:
1) Just how much Alice is discouraging people, especially Sam from investigating further
2) She's been here for ten years for a shady organization and not once did this girl look further into it, even if she's the type to press other's buttons? She's seen something at least and is trying to keep others out of it too. She's gotta.
3) Lena and Alice have had little to no interaction. It's weird, there seems to be some sort of dynamic with everyone except with those two, and you'd think someone's who worked down here for ten years would have some sort of opinion on her, but no. Not really.
4) In this episode in particular, Alice's mocking towards Gwen seems very... odd. As if Alice knows what Gwen is getting into and knows it's not what Gwen's looking for.
Overall, there's something up with Alice's tenure in the OIAR. I don't think she's malicious, not at all, especially with how she's warning people. However, I'm more confident now that she knows a bit more than she lets on, but she is either unable or unwilling to say it at the moment.

When Alice said 'boss' in that tone, I could only think of our beloved Tim Stoker, so I made a little comparison. The fact that they are both talking to a Bouchard is a bonus.
