Christmas berries(lycium carolinianum) are found in the southern United States, Mexico, and the Caribbean. They have a lightly sweet tomato-y taste. They’re often confused with chokeberry but there’s some major differences, comparison photo ⬇️

Leaf shape

The leaves are smaller and rounded on the edible plant, more succulent looking.

Berry shape

The edible berries have a cute little leaf hood over them, the inedible berries also tend to be harder/tougher.
