💙Sigils: What are they and how to make them!💙
Nj here! Sigils are a really interesting and simple way to incorporate witchcraft into your every day life, and one of my favourites! They're a good method for beginners as they dont require too much energy and can be customized to accomplish a lot of different things! So since they're so cool, I made a post to help people work with them!
A sigil is an energy infused drawing. You begin with an intention then you use your subconscious mind to shape that intention into a symbol. This symbol can take on any shape, any size, any colour, any complexity or simplicity. Once you've created the sigil, it contains the energy of your desired intention. You can then carry, burn, inscribe, or wear it, along with any number of other things which you decide allows the sigil to attract your desire to you! Now let's get onto the methods of creating them!
- Write your intention down on a piece of paper.
- Simplify that statement, do this however you see fit.
- Using these letters, create a symbol. Feel free to mess around a bit and find the symbol that feels exactly right.
- After you create it, focus your energy into it.
- Write down your intention on a piece of paper.
- Remove all vowels and double letters.
- Assign each letter in the alphabet a number (1-9).
- Place the numbers 1-9 into a circle and connect the numbers in a design that feels right to you.
- Draw your final symbol, and feel free to change anything about it
- Pour your energy into that bad boy!
- Write your intention down on a piece of paper.
- Mess around with shapes and symbols that you associate with that intention.
- Combine them into one sigil that you like
So there you go! Some useful things to remember is that you should always make your intentions positive, like instead of 'I am less lazy' try 'I am more productive', and that you should phrase your intentions as if they are already true, using 'I am' instead of 'I will be', and lastly, remember that no sigil can replace hard work, they can help you do better but they wont be able to do everything for you.
Either way, I hope you found this at least mildly helpful, and goodbye!💙
