A couple who knew each other since they were children would’ve been the love story of the ages — Had it been anyone else. The Wilkes family has a tendency, one could say, to only trust family. But exceptions are always made even when it comes to the Devil, and Alexander Wilkes had a best pal — close enough that their children grew up together, and the children of their children — Well, that’s when it gets funny. Theodora and this Character were never friends, per se, but were always forced together by their grandparents during get together and lavish parties. They didn’t get along well, but a middle ground had to be met for coexistence, and when puberty hit, so did attraction. It wasn’t love, couldn’t be, but it was something strong enough to make them stick together like a real couple. They were secret, at first, until they weren’t anymore and both families unexpectedly accepted the couple rather well — As well as they could, back then. But it was good, until it wasn’t. Arguments and fights and breakups filled their young-adulthood, enough that the two of them were always on and off constantly, but there has always been a sense of duty between them; unity the families into one. It was what their grandparents would have wanted, and perhaps, deep inside, is what they want too. They date, they fight, break apart, don’t speak to each other for years until they seek the other out when their hearts ache for it, and the cycle begins again.
