The Great Work continues
Oh dear gods! Iâm not even into Disney nor Alice In Wonderland, but I think this looks delightful!

someone buy this for @skulls-and-tea
My son pulled this out of his coat pocket the other day. He was very ashamed and embarrassed and thought Iâd be mad at him. The ART TEACHER sent this home for being âinappropriate for schoolâ and something that could get her âin troubleâ if she displayed it. So where the other children had their art hung up, his was sent home. I was confused, even after she explained why. I spoke to the teacher several times to voice my concerns, the text with the pic was her last response.
My son is 10 and in the 4th Grade. This was a response from an ART teacher in a public school in a metropolitan area of New Jersey. I donât know whatâs more offensive: the âwitchcraftyâ part and character or the âneed to stay within the boxâ part, because, again, this was an elementary school ART CLASS.

Fully Illustrated 78 card deck. This is DECK ONLY. There is NO BOX. Out of print but now available direct from myself - Clive Barrett - the
Iâve had many people ask me about the Norse Tarot I use. Itâs been out of print for a long time, but the artist has it now available on Etsy. i cannot recommend this deck enough - the cards are beautiful and as an Asatru/Vanatru tarot reader, itâs become my go-to deck.
It only took 11+ months but I finally made a new yarn doll! Just in time for Christmas -- KRAMPUS! For when your kid is too much of a jerk for Elf on a Shelf! :-p Pretty happy with him. Heâs 2+ft long and already creeping out my kid.
One of my characters was throwing a tantrum today.
Steampunk-y kinda day.
Mine! <3
You have now fucked the character on your desktop/mobile wallpaper.
How fucked are you?
âŠ..ahkâŠ
Well itâs Regina, so Iâm dead. Because Emma killed me
So⊠my mobile wallpaper is the Milky Way. My desktop wallpaper is an artists rendition of a black hole.
⊠I just had sex with my magic circle? Well, I suppose it is sexyâŠ
Liliana Vess, so that's pretty hot. Although likely deadly....
One issue Iâm facing during this transition is a struggle of identity. Being the monogamous partner in a poly relationship is a pretty exclusionary thing. I am now a part of the poly community, but Iâm not poly. So where does that leave me?
To be honest, I started this blog to find support and learn to understand the community. However, most of what Iâve seen is poly people saying âdonât date monogamous people.â
You know what? I get that.
As a lesbian, I myself am guilty of advising my friends over and over again, ânever fall for a straight girl.â
But for the first time in my life, I am in the shoes of the ever elusive and heartbreaking âstraight girl.â Let me tell you, as I search for my place in this new world, these are lonely shoes to stand in. Sometimes as I reach out to the online poly community for support in a tough hour, all I see are glaring statements that seem to scream: YOUR RELATIONSHIP IS ALREADY DOOMED AND ITâS YOUR FAULT.
I know this isnât the intent, but it sure makes me feel despondent about the valleys I go through. Itâs no oneâs fault, and these words are not spoken with poor intent. Simply, these people have attempted to have a relationship with people who are wired differently than they are. These situations notoriously donât work out very often, so I understand why the viewpoint on poly-mono relationships is so negative.
Honestly, I guess I just wanted to reach out and say hey, some people in poly relationships are monogamous. And some of us (maybe just me) are trying to discover where we fit in the polyamorous community. So, maybe, open up the door a bit and give us a hug?
(We could use one and we think youâre really cool)
Huge hugs! đ One of my partners is strictly mono and I'm more "situational poly" myself, meaning I could be mostly mono under certain circumstances if I had to - idk, I'm weird. đ The three of us live together (FMM - they're het, I'm pan) so there are situations addressed frequently, but we try.
If you want to talk or vent or ask anything, you are more than welcome to reach out to me, either here or one of my other links. Much love! đ
A reminder that âmaleâ armour usually works just as well with female bodies. If youâre trying to design something practical, useful and historical looking (or even just something the follows the laws of physics), never ever put in boob cups. Aside from the fact they give the armour a sort of âfocus pointâ for swords, falling down on them would send the shock right into the sternum. Regular plate armour leaves enough space between the chest for small to medium sized boobs anyway. But say the girl underneath is a buxom lass, you can still avoid that cleavage, boob cup shape while leaving enough space for her melons.
But aside from plate, things like the top picture, chainmail and all sorts of leather armour are unisex. I know you might be thinking that the feminine thing to do when designing a female warrior is to show off a bit of thigh or neck or cleavage or something, but really, understand that if the goal of that armour is to protect completely, putting an obvious gap in it is a terrible idea and sheâll surely get stabbed very quickly.
And donât feed me the âitâs magic, I donât got to explain shitâ line. Bollox. Magic armour and forcefields need to make some sense too. Show me something that LOOKS like itâs generating a barrier over the character instead of just saying âOh the G-string of Invulnerability is just as good as wearing full plate anywayâ. If thatâs the case, everyone would wear it. And why canât they just tie it around their belt? Make me believe that your magic armour and spells have logic to them. If not, please donât play your world straight. Iâm all for super stylised designs as long as theyâre sold as such, but if youâre trying to make a world that feels real enough for people to believe and get immersed in, think this stuff out. If youâve designed someone with sparse, gapped armour that shows skin, give your character a reason to wear it.
Iâve got some folks following my Tumblr who have a thing for women in (good) armor. Â Enjoy, guys and gals!
Even a fandom blog needs women in gorgeous, realistic armor.
Iâm a woman and I make chainmaille armour (even made some plate back in the day). The only time I made something different for a woman was when I put âextensionsâ into a maille shirt because she was pregnant and needed more room for her bump.
sexy armor is armor that keeps you alive
G-string of invulnerability⊠Lol
The only modifications Iâve made to male armor for them to fit me is making the plastic boob cup Iâm required to wear fit into the chest piece. If I didnât wear that, my chest would be able to fit into most armor. Also, if you want armor to look feminine, Look at Tonlet Armor, from Germany. Itâs a menâs armor style that looks like a skirt. Itâs beautiful and I canât wait to make mine.
