Before flying to London, we flew to Bristol, one hour flight from Paris. John's colleague picked us up and drove about 45 minutes to Cheltenham, where John was scheduled to do a full day lecture. He was the only speaker to about a little more than 100 dentists.

I had the day to myself and walked around the little town. It was cold and windy so I looked for stores to go window shopping at.

I found it amusing to see their version of the dollar store and tj maxx. I also liked how their thrift stores are named after the foundation/organization that they support.

After the lecture, we took the train from Cheltenham to London Paddington station. It was about a 2 hour train ride. Felt longer since it stopped a lot, but it probably saved us from a potential car crash, considering the Brits drive on the other side of the road.
