Wanna do a quick shameless plus of a species I got into recently. Arayovas is 18+ and they have a LK site now!! They used to be TH exclusive but their site is live and it looks nice. I kinda feel bad for the guest artists as of recent tho cuz nobody’s been buying / offering on the designs 🥲 I would but I’m broke as fuuuuck. They have free raffles rn though so def check them out.

(Somnivores) Positive vent here. For once, I've fully joined the species, all drama aside. I love the website layout, everything seems so easy to navigate, pages are neat and the art is lovely. I also appreciate the lore encyclopedia actually having lore and a map with the different locations, I'll be really happy when they start updating it. Overall, is a nice species I'm slowly enjoying, hope I can get a MYO soon.

(General) I found a friend in a CS space, and they're pretty cool :) I was starting to lose hope for the CS communities as a whole but I was pleasantly surprised

positive vent) I'm so so glad that Cossetlings didn't go through with ending their ARPG elements to become an adopt only species. Sure, there won't be as many events and updates, but it's better than them turning it into a soulless cash grab. Also big w for them not allowing in game items and currency being sold for RL currency anymore.

(Riddle of Bronze, positive) I like that the mods almost always leave some kind of positive feedback on entries when they are approved, even just a "wow this looks great" or whatever can be really motivating. :) It always makes me feel good, even if my rng isn't the best that time around. They're also really nice whenever a design needs edits, they've always gone out of their way to point out things they like about it before letting me know what needs edited, and then are very clear and concise.

(pos) RoB honestly is great and I've never been in a group where admins so strongly encourage discussion regarding gameplay and rules, let alone to the point of actually changing their mind and admitting they were wrong in past decisions. (They DO allow fat characters on the ML btw.) They aren't perfect- I still don't agree with the ML disability ruling even though I can kind of understand their reasoning, for example- but no one is perfect and no groups are perfect. It's not going to be everyone's cup of tea and that's absolutely OK but I really want to give them credit for the space they've cultivated.

Agreed fully! And I do want to add that the moderation team of ROB are human & have faults & can change their mind on a stance. For those in the discord server, haters, lurkers, & members alike, I want to direct you to the questions forum under the "Hii Riddle Hii" section & read it in its entirety. For those that are convinced that ROB is a shit hole full of horrible people, I'll give a TLDR:
Riddle & the team don't look at the vent blog as it's not a valuable source of criticism as they do have direct ways to contact staff about issues, critiques, or suggestions. This is in part due to the negativity these blogs breed & the fact people would rather bitch here instead of coming to staff is counterproductive.
Riddle did not realize that the topic of body weight was such a hot button issue until he asked for members to share their fat erezu so he can make a reference in order to help visualize what amount of pounds can be added on for a masterlist reference without the trait clarity issues. He actively wants members to have fun & comfortable making whatever they want.
Members can and are in the process of making plus sized erezu now due to the conversation & if they're not sure, bringing the concepts to the staff to make sure it'd be fine as they have gotten a lot more lax on body types.
I'm not going to share the lore as last time someone tried to, y'all misunderstood & started talking out y'all's ssses. I know words are hard but please try to actually absorb this information before saying anything 🙏

My own, personal opinions on all of the RoB talk. I'm only a little sorry that it's so long.
First off, when people make mistakes they CAN learn from them and change. I'm not saying that you have to forgive and forget, but repeatedly bringing up things that have been apologized for and amended is exhausting and unnecessary. Yes, the hairstyle thing was yikes (I didn't know about it until I read the messages here, admittedly) and I didn't like hearing about it. Especially with an actual POC being made to feel like their own knowledge/experience did not matter. I'm glad that they decided to make it an available trait for all. While that probably won't bring back people who were offended, the owners DO listen to their userbase and have practically begged us to tell them if something is wrong, unfair, confusing or upsetting. Their questions forum is always open for clarification and is not locked to only owners or admins to post in, but other users/players as well.
As someone who is fat and disabled, I am so tired of "fatphobic" and "ableism" being thrown around to the point that I grimace at the words. (Yeah, I know, I cannot speak for all fat and disabled people. This is just me.) It's really the biggest argument you're all clinging to at this point, from what I'm reading. Yes, all creatures can be fat, and it's strange to not allow it on the ML but hear me out… How many CS are just copy and paste bases of the exact same body lineart with different colors? Do you complain about all of those as viciously? Maybe I've just been around CS adoptable designers/shops for far too long. Does anyone else remember the Gaia B/C Pets forum, where there were hundreds/thousands of on-base characters and very rarely was it unique art? RoB is absolutely not the first or last ARPG that has a sort of "regulated" look for the ML images, while telling their users/buyers that they are welcome to portray their characters however they want once they own them. It is really not as serious and dramatic as you're all making it, I promise. They're not deer-adjacent (that would be Stygians!), their default shape is described as similar to, but not exactly the body of a cheetah.
The feral thing. Yeah, I get it. To a point. A lot of people don't like NSFW feral stuff and I am not about to call those people wrong for having dislikes and limits. I don't (often) kink shame, and I don't mock people who dislike kinks in general. What bothers me is that people are comparing them to real animals. I'm not talking "it's just a drawing" either, but the difference between sentient and sapient. Real beastiality is when a sapient individual SAs a sentient individual. The sentient one cannot communicate with the sapient and does not understand or consent to what is happening. RoB characters are sapient. They can speak and understand and have humanoid or higher level intelligence. They can say "yes" to things they are okay with and "no" to things that they are not okay with. Their bodies may not be of humanoid shape in part or whole, but their mentality is not the same as your pet dog or cat who simply cannot understand human language or communicate with us like another human. Not only the players, but the characters in this ARPG are adults, which is also very important.
I'm convinced that people shit-talking the community have not actively engaged in it long or at all. I am not one of the super active members in the Discord, but I have always been able to jump into a conversation and feel seen and welcomed. I would consider my art to be, at best, the skill quality of a literal child. I was embarrassed to post it anywhere near all of the amazing images that others were sharing, and when I got up the nerve to do so I was praised and (affectionately) scolded for putting myself down. Everyone I have encountered in this community is so welcoming and friendly, it's genuinely heartwarming for me. I'm so used to just being a random voice in the crowd in big Discords, but here you're included! I saw someone say that they feel like everyone hates their art and hates them, and I would genuinely be shocked if that were true. Everyone is different with their mental states, but I can say that the "everyone hates me" is a very familiar feeling. I'm truly sorry that you feel that way about RoB, but I plead that you share your creations anyway!
Oh, and there are thousands of bases online that are $10+ and they often do not include future updates for free. I think I got everything. I am not trying to be an asshole with any of this, completely honestly. I'm just hoping that at least one person might be a little more understanding over at least one topic if they have read this far. Thank you.

Positive/Neutral for Candy Dinos
Hope this is ok but I wanted to share my experience with candy dinos since I saw someone vent here and don't want ppl disuaded from joining :] they have lots of ways to get items and myos and lots of fun events, they aren't huge right now but it's still a nice CS! They're always adding new things and host games for people to get dinos without having to use actual money to buy them or needing to grind endless prompts. My only gripe is there's like two hoarders in the server who try to get all the popular designs then retrade them or just put them up for offers but never accept any and it's really annoying but there's plenty of other nice people there!!

Didn’t know what to expect when Wermlings got its ownership changed for like, the third time. But honestly? The new guys seem promising. They even undid that stupid rule that hosts couldn’t be inorganic (realistically inorganic hosts wouldn’t exist, but this is a fictional worm parasite species. Impossible stuff is part of the fun), which I’m very much a fan of.

i dont know if you allow positive vents or not but I just want to say how nice the gatchenstein server has been, the myos are pretty easy to get, the mods have been nice, the whole communyin general has been extremely welcoming. Say what you want about the wait times for MYOs to be accepted but I think that's an alright price to pay for the availability of myos.

Positive vent. I love the crystalker species. The community is small but very polite and the owner is so sweet too. There’s fun events always going on and items and myos are easy to get. Hoping this species doesn’t change because it’s perfect the way it is.

What are some good groups to join
This question would probably be better answered by browing @cspraise, as personally I only actively participate in one ARPG.
However, just from browsing I can say Stave's Rest, Grimsby Grove, Kwillians and Boundless Horizons all look enjoyable! I always recommend taking a good look around though, my word isn't gospel.
