Shadow of My Former Self - Literally. This is a photograph of my own shadow from several years ago. Once again seems like it's about light and shade. Another theme I'm interested in is transience – the reality that nothing is permanent. #abstractphoto #abstractphotoart #abstractphotography #britishartist #britishseasides #emergingartist #englishartist #figurativeabstract #fineartphotography #panasoniclumix #panasonicdmclx3 #photoart #photograph #photographers #photographyart #photographylife #portraitphoto #portraitphotography #selfportrait #selftaughtartist #shadow https://www.instagram.com/p/CUcDGJnAZc6/?utm_medium=tumblr
Deadhead - Just realised there's a running thread through these recently posted images – it's all about the light.
Gilkes- This was taken at night in Kendal in Cumbria. It's not a great photo by any means, but I love the glow of the colours and it kind of tells a story, about industry leading a way out of the dark.
Glow - This is a photograph of the glowing 'power-on' light of an electric oven. I like the molten look.
Mama Knows Best - I think it's a Nursery Web Spider – please correct me if I'm wrong.
Colour or Black and White? - Which do you prefer? This is a photo from back in 2007, on holiday in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. I took only jpegs back then, so the opportunity to control the outcome on a Nikon S1 camera was minimal.
