Unfortunately I’m not personally involved in the “new list” preparations! So I can’t say for certain. I wouldn’t expect them terribly soon though considering this is a really busy time for a lot of people!
Your best bet is to keep an eye on the list thread - sorry I can’t be of more help!

Ah yes - the gingerbread-scented candles are burning and it’s that time of the year again.
If you’re not as painfully aware of every pet on the list as I am - it might be in your best interest to prepare yourself for the possibility of picking up a list pet this advent - and the flood of trades sure to follow!
A few years ago I put together a couple of visual guides to each individual list pet as they appear at adoption! No need to scour the list and the archives anymore - if you got a list pet - you’ll know it!
They might just be handy to bookmark and skim in advance. Because they are image heavy, I’ve split it into two parts - dogs and other species/URs!

I am! I’m an English teacher - I’ve got a 4-year degree in English with an Education minor. :) I’ve always loved to read, write and to work with children, so this seemed like the perfect fit for me!
Hi I'm new to CS and I'm wondering if you could tell me what pets are in high demand, i know list pets are in high demand and I've seen people say that Warrior Cats and Zodiac Dogs are also highly demanded, but are any other pets in high demand ? thanks.
There are quite a few pets that are in demand! Yes - the zodiac collection and warrior cats tend to be pretty popular. I’d also point out that most people prefer dogs over other species since they’re the easiest to dress up and many prefer the dog lineart in general. Store pets are always in high demand because they’re special and can only be purchased with C$ - the currency on Chicken Smoothie that can only be purchased with real money. I’d also generally recommend looking around at what pets people are seeking in the trading forums and auctions to get an idea for what’s popular. :) “Booster” and “Auto” lists in auctions will often give an idea of what type of pets people are after!
I'm sorry if this question was already asked! but I didn't see an answer for it? I'm a bit new to chicken smoothie? and I've been hearing "List pets"?? I always thought that meant Wishlist pets but is that not what it stands for? What are they?
“List pets” refers to pets on the Rares List! It’s a list created by the user base to give a rough guide to which pets on Chicken Smoothie are the rarest and most valuable of all. The list is mostly made up of pets that were released in 2008, when very few members were around to adopt them, and pets called “Special Releases” or “Unreleased (UR)” pets. These pets can only be adopted from the December 18th holiday gift box and are extremely rare - very few users receive them! That makes them particularly valuable and sought after, especially for collectors.
I’d recommend reading the first few posts of the Rares List and taking a look at the pictured lists to familiarize yourself with it. And you’re always welcome to send questions here, post on the Help Forums, or ask CS staff with a Help Ticket!

How much is the Starry Dragon from last years Moon Base Special Event?
This pet is a mid 2016 rare and in terms of rarity that’s all it’s really worth. Demand might put it a little higher - personally I wouldn’t say more than a mid 2015 rare (double its value) at very most. That would be the top dollar I’d pay for it. :)

hi there! I have a question, if thats ok. with the summer event coming up, I see some people talking about "account babysitters" for when they're too busy to play. what exactly are those and how do they work? thank you! :)
Hello!
An account sitter is someone who logs into your account during an event to help you collect tokens. This is especially helpful for people who may be on vacations without internet access for part/all of the event or it can be great for friends in different time zones to help each other collect tokens around the clock. They log in, click a banner, then usually head back to their own account until the next 20 minute interval has passed to grab you another token.
These are completely within the CS rules but there are a few things to keep in mind. When letting someone else into your account - you take on all responsibility for anything they do on your account in that time. That is - any trades they make are final, any posts they make will be connected with your account, and so on.
Never let anyone onto your account that you do not COMPLETELY trust. The benefits can be wonderful - but there are risks involved.
A fun fact about account sitters: for CS staff, only someone of equal or higher rank is allowed to watch your account for you. So for me - as a General Helper - I am not allowed to have regular users on my account without temporarily terminating my GH abilities. I need to have another GH or a mod+ account-sit for me!
oh gosh i just recently got into CS (by recently i mean yesterday evening) and i need help?? i'm not so sure how to start. i've been going to the pound every time it opens and adopting pets and have gotten a few from the adopt section. but i'm still 100% confuzzled and could use a little bit of help? // i also play from the mobile site because i don't have a laptop ;-;

CS can be a little confusing at first. I would certainly recommend adopting all the monthly adoptables each month and going to the pound will be great! :) Additionally, there is a section of the forums where you can get free pets from other users - just remember to read through the rules of each adoption center/giveaway before you send a trade! You should be fine playing on mobile - probably the only feature that you won’t be able to use as easily is the oekaki, which is the drawing application built into the site. Everything else, though, should be easy to do on mobile!
I would start to browse the site and see what catches your eye. There are forum games, role-plays, art shops, and of course all the CS-pet-related topics like the monthly pet discussions and the trading forums! All kinds of people use CS for all kinds of different things. You’ll have to poke around and see what interests you!
If you are interested in collecting pets, I would take the time to look through the archive and start adding pets to your wishlist! One thing you should know, however, is that the older the pet is, the more valuable it is. Most of the pets from 2008 are extremely valuable and are worth far more than the more recent pets, since they’re from the first few months that the site was up and very few people were around to adopt them! That doesn’t mean you can’t add them to your wishlist, but be aware that most people don’t treat them like normal rares or very rares. :)
You can also make it your goal to complete the collection of pets that’s released each month. It’s totally up to you what you want to do!
I would highly recommend, however, that you check all your trades on the “Is this a fair trade?” thread to make sure they’re fair as well as to learn a little more about rarity and how trading works. :)
Here are a few key notes on rarity:
The rarity scale - all pets will get a rarity within 1-2 months of their release. The possible rarities are: OMG so common < very common < common < uncommon < rare < very rare < OMG so rare. Most monthly adoptions will be between OMG so common and sometimes uncommon, though occasionally a rare pet may pop up too!
If you’re looking for a certain pet, generally a pet of the same rarity from the same year that was adopted within 3 months of the original adoption date will be a fair trade. This doesn’t apply to special pets like store pets, for example, who can only be bought for the real-money currency C$ and are worth more than their year of adoption implies. Additionally, pets adopted on December 18th of any year may be a re-released older pet, and worth more than the date implies.
And finally - demand. There is a lot of debate on how much demand factors into trading. Some people believe that demand matters more than anything else and may not trade a high demand uncommon for even an older rare! Others might not consider demand at all and will trade pets as if there was no demand factored in at all. Demand basically means how badly a pet is wanted by a large amount of people. Some pets, for example the shima longtail dog (a 2009 rare), have a lot of demand because many people like the design. Because so many people want the pet, they’re willing to offer more than it is worth to try to get it - hence demand. But sometimes people ask for TOO much because they feel a pet should be worth a certain amount due to its popularity. It’s a tough call, but it’s good to keep in mind that just because someone says such-and-such offer isn’t good enough doesn’t mean that everyone will feel that way!

what is a grey joker dog worth?
By the grey joker I’m assuming you mean the April Fool’s joker/coontail pup:
They’re just an early 2015 uncommon but I would say in my experience hoarding them casually they are a little tough to find and possibly still have a little demand. I don’t think they’d go for TOO much more than their base value but it’s possible you could get another uncommon that’s more than 3 months older than it - otherwise a 2015 uncommon is worth a 2017 rare from around the same time of year!
