For the 3rd part of my final project, I did the last option to showcase the type of art work I would like to make going forward. This is one I spent quite a bit of time on. In middle school I had experimented with this type of art and style similar to this and it is something I loved and was really fun to recreate it!
For part 2 of the final, getting your voice out there in public, I decided to write some sportish encouraging post-it notes and put them in the bathroom closet to our athlete weight room. Sometimes you just need an extra push before those early morning weight sessions!
For the first part of my final connecting to the earth, I decided to make a house out of sticks. For the past 4 years of my life, St. Bonaventure has served as a second home for me, creating memories that will last a life time.
For my art project this week I made Flip Flops! I used cut up cardboard and some plastic to make this comfortable masterpiece.
Now these are something I could go to the olean mall and buy right now! The model makes these look amazing and comfortable
My puppets name is Luca! Luca loves to be outdoors (as you can see he is a little dirty!) and listen to music while hanging with friends!
For this weeks art project I decided to make a bracelet from some boxes I found laying around the house. Pictured I have this designer bracelet (pre link) and also videoed on my models hand!
For my Futurism project this week I chose to draw what I think the future of cars looks like. Its amazing how far cars have come since I was born, I cannot begin to imagine what they will be like in the future. I drew this flying car with the similar body of cars we see now!
For this cubism project I picked the top 3 things off my trash. My pre work snack of a rice Krispies treats wrapper and a trail mix wrapper. I also used a Clorox wipe I used to clean my desk off!
For my assignment, I chose to paint my roommate, Abby! Abby is one of the sweetest people I know, so I decided to paint her portrait with angel wings and a halo. I chose to exclude the background of the picture, and instead change it to flowers. Abby loves flowers!
I love this! I love how you added the flowers and the wings, I think this turned out amazing!
This week I decided to draw my roommate Luca! I used bright colors to portray his crazy and exciting personality. I tried to have fun with the background adding the spirals and weird skin color!
For my drawing this week I chose a picture from Rick and Morty. This is something I ALWAYS would watch. The show is always full of bright colors and amazing scenes. I tried to incorporate Van Gogh into the background!
Here is my color study! I chose the color blue to look at in my magazine. I found so many different shades, some of them even look more purple than blue. The range of blues in this is wide.
This artwork inspired me earlier in the semester because of all of the beautiful colors that ypu were able to incorporate and really bring together nicely!
For my artwork this week, I incorporated the things I recognized in myself. I made my entire artwork to be centered around the words “Family” because that is the one thing most important to me. I found some sports balls to incorporate into my piece as well as dogs and Zac Brown Band. Apple because I love using technology and social media as well as a watch because I have one of my own. Overall, a lot of this encompasses my passion in life.
This inspired me so far this semester because of how many connections I can draw with it. It feels like we have a lot in common when it comes to our passions!
For my abstract midterm I decided to paint Sam Smiths grammy performance of his song unholy. I tried to replicate the aura that he created by using black as a background and then making him bright red In the center. The hardest part was the hands of the extras that were grazing him while he performed but I think it came out alright. No matter how you look at this performance it is down right strange.
Throughout the past year or so I have noticed and immense amount of satanism in pop culture mainly in Hollywood. This happened to be just blatant blasphemy but if you look a little deeper there is satanic symbolism everywhere espically in our music industry. Modern day rappers like Lil Uzi Vert, Trippie Redd, Billie Ellish and many more have also done perfromances like this worshiping the devil. It’s very scary and even scarier to think why they are doing this. What exactly is influencing so many promenent figures in our culture to endorse satanism? Does it having something to do with how they got famous? Whatever you may believe you can’t deny that this stuff is out there and the harder you look the worse it gets. God Bless Everyone!!
This is one of the works that inspired me this semester because of how interesting I found this! After reading your post and really thinking about it, it make me realize how much I have been seeing this too, and inspired me to do some more research myself!
For my midterm assignment I decided to use this picture of Brad Pitt. Although this photoshop may not be as obvious as other celebrities like the Kardashians, things like this are seen my celebrities almost every day.
Celebrities often use Photoshop or other photo editing tools to enhance their pictures and present an idealized version of themselves to the public. This can be problematic for society because it creates unrealistic beauty standards and perpetuates an unattainable and harmful idea of perfection. It can also contribute to feelings of inadequacy and low self-esteem among those who compare themselves to the edited images.
For my self portrait assignment I attempted to use a few bags of black tea. As you can see in the painting, one of the tea bags broke so you can see it though-out the picture. I found it very difficult to add really any detail because of how runny it was.
For this weeks collage, I picked the generation I grew up in to represent myself. When thinking about my childhood I was immediately hit with the 2001 baby nostalgia. Remembering the cartoons I used to watch in the mornings, the video games I would rush home after school to play with my friends, the athletes I would watch on the TV and aspire to be, and much much more. All of these represent my childhood and what brought me to where I am today.
