Her employers had been there a day before jet setting off to Greece for the next month. They left a credit card for groceries, thanked her, then left before she could even take her stuff out of her suitcase. 

“There’s milk in here that went bad three weeks ago... I’m sorry, you’re getting water.” Waving her hands at the lack of anything, she turned to the cabinet next to it. She filled it with some ice and water then looked at the person she had invited over. “Now, let’s get down to business,” she set the glass down and leaned onto the island that sat between the two of them, a grin resting on her face. “What’s the theme of this years opening party?”
