definitively not rich. not poor either, but working-middle class.

he’s worked in the community ever summer since he was 18, working his way through different jobs within

this summer he’s managing a poolside bar on the grounds

makes some side money fishing in the morning’s/weekends when he can

when he was younger it was just a convenient place to make money, but as he gets older he continues working in the community mostly for the women and the parties

he’s always been completely willing to play the part of fun summer fling/pool boy/boy from the other side of the tracks... but he has a general distaste for most of the people that come through villa novella, though it’s hard to deny they know how to have a good time

because of the distaste he’s usually pretty selective about what he shares with people, but he also realizes what he’s doing with his life is of little concern to anyone around

-cleo loves all things soft (aka nature, pastels, animals, babies, u name it) -her sense of humor is weird af like she laughs at too many things -her parents and lil sister died in a car accident that she was also in -she thinks she caused the accident bc she was arguing w her parents -she’s kinda a pushover -she’s super innocent and pure -her heart is in the right place like 103% of the time but she feels like she’s always messing things up -her luck is literally the worst -she is tiny, i’m talking 5′2″ and like maybe 115lbs -inherently believes people are good until proven otherwise -hella bisexual -physical affection is her fave -super shy but super friendly most of the time

hello !! i’m super late to the game but sup, name’s ji-woo ( ji is ok too ) and i haven’t properly rped in 1+ year but i’m ?? so excited to be here ??? i’m not sure how intro posts work but there’s more about nate under the cut !!

history; 

his full name is nathaniel étienne laflamme castillo (would rather not be associated w his deadbeat father), but nathan/nate is what he usually goes by

born in montreal (qc), half-filipino and half-french canadian

but his mother was diagnosed w gaucher disease when he was 12, so they moved in with his uncle in connecticut so he could help her raise the kids + financially

so speaks french (québécois), english (w a tiny accent) and some basic tagalog

his mom and little sister are lit everything to him, he would probably die for them, no joke

his uncle was a prominent father figure in his life and passed down his passion + knowledge of cars/mechanics (and, being an ex-boxer, some handy tips on how to handle himself in a fight)

he also passed away in a car accident in nate’s last year of high school. nathan only barely graduated.

on a lighter note, has a rescue cat named cleo he’s like. in love with (even if she’s out of the house or ignoring him half the time)

personality;

actually hardworking: is good at his job and puts the efforts to be good at it. would be a stellar employee if it wasn’t for his temper/habit of getting into random fights

has existential crises in the regular, and him feeling empty ends up w him doing some illegal shit or punching some dude in the face

will also generally be up for anything that’ll give him a rush of adrenaline (breaking and entering is his personal fave)

somewhat self-righteous, has his own moral code and will not hesitate to settle something he does not think is right

provoked w a y too easily. he tries to keep himself in check to not worry his fam (or to keep his job) but the amount of self-control he possesses is laughable tbh

like he can be an ass but if u catch him at a good time he’s really fun to be around, doesn’t take himself too seriously and gets really into whatever game u throw his way

not super book smart (not that he really tried that hard at school), but learns really fast w his hands. never went to college, but did follow an auto mechanic apprenticeship

is lowkey (ok, maybe highkey) prejudiced against rich ppl, p much hates them bc he thinks they’re all snobs + don’t know the meaning of respect. would have said no to this job in a flash if it wasn’t for the money that came with it (so this summer is going to be…. interesting)

i thought i was only covering basics but this got.... long (and made me realize how unfortunate nate’s life has been. like what the hec k) but if u made it this far, thank u.. so.... much ( hit me up to plot !!! )

since the owners of the house are usually gone, she’s /that/ guy who throws parties at the house. how does she have a job idek.

you could dare her to drink a bottle of perfume and she’d probably do it for the story. same for whichever drug you offer her. 

while she’s working, she’s still taking an online class to finish up her degree. which is political science.

she’s super goofy and would really do anything to cheer up her friends or whoever else she’s with.

girl hate? get that shit out of here. she supports her girls no matter what and will drop some feminist knowledge on you like nbd.

He was born and raised in southern calfiornia. he’s from new money.. his parents both built themselves up from the ground.

the apple fell very, very far from the tree with talan who is the poster boy for lazy rich boi

was living off his parents up until two years ago when they got sick of him not doing shit and cut him off. 

talan kinda brushed it off as a joke and continued living it up in Ibiza swiping and snorting off his amex black card until it was declined

he went back and really had it out with his dad, who ended up just cutting ties with him completely. talan is really care free and doesn’t talk about his family because it’s emotionally exhausting to him tbh even tho there’s not much to the story other than he’s a piece of shit and his parents cut him off lmfao

He tells people he CHOSE to leave behind the money because it was a toxic life lmfaoo and now he just floats around like a nomad, couch surfing from place to place until they too get sick of him

he’s your local drug seller - so if you want the goods hit him up. he’s got a shitty burner phone that he does business deals on and keeps his stash hidden under his bed in a crotchet bag he bought from peru.  

he was actually super smart growing up and was heavily into basketball but his team mates got him into that hollywood party scene and that was the end of his academic and sporting career.

hello hello!! jane’s the name, rp’s the game. quick introduction to julien under the cut 

Julien is the most conceited person. he is incredibly petty, crude, self-assured, and far too in love with himself. 

like i’m talking, he owns five cars, doesn’t drive any, but bought them just so he can say he owns them and keep them park in premium parking spots

He’s been coming up here since he was 18. He’s 23 now. 

He’s french, born in France. His mother is an actress who started off in France and moved to Hollywood where she became big. She has a house in the hills, where Julien majority lived. His father is dead.

Julien arrived to his father’s funeral with a scowl painted on his features and the taste of whiskey still lingering on his tongue. His eyes hid beneath his shades, not to hide bloodshot eyes, but the lack thereof. Julien never wasted a tear on his father, who passed of something so simple as overdose. Looking around the crowd, he saw his father’s lovers weeping as they stood over his coffin. He saw friends and admirers, each one who knew the man better than he did. In his life, his father would invite him back to France to spend summers and holidays, but they seldom saw each other for more than an hour at a time. Julien grew accustomed to his absence. In fact, it was part of the reason why he always returned. Unlike his mother, his father never stopped him from behaving irrationally or irresponsibly. As long as he didn’t have to hear about it, Julien could get away with murder if he wanted. 

Basically, Julien is the Worst™. Some more of my fave headcanons about him:

Julien is a dog person, despite never having owned one. His mother never let him have any as a child, not trusting him to take care of another creature and being too busy to do it herself.

Julien prefers to air dry and has one installed in his shower. 

Julien once yelled at a baby for being ugly. He refused to hold it.

Julien has actually stolen candy from a baby. He didn’t eat it. He just did it because he could.

Julien likes his coffee with either five packs of cream or completely black – nothing in between.

Julien has a mirror in every room of his house.

If exhausted, Julien will speak in nothing but French, even around those who can’t understand French.

Julien has fired maids for coming in ugly.

Sometimes he fires maids just because it’s something to do.

Julien once bought a twelve thousand dollar vase at an auction so an elderly woman couldn’t get her hands on it. Later, he proceeded to swing a baseball bat at it right in front of her.

He thinks he’s better than everyone else and puts on the best show to prove it. Hit me up!!

hello, hey hi!! i’m kelsey and i legit have not been in a group in like a year, so i’m swinging back in with yall. I’m actually shit at intro posts so let me just hope right into AJ below !!

Alright, Alexander James Kennedy - unfortunately, no relation to the american royal family the Kennedy’s. He wishes tho!!

He’s actually originally from Alabama. Born to two high school sweethearts. His dad is a mechanic and his mom works as a hairstylist. 

He has an accent that he tries to mask, though it slips out every now and then. He’s not ashamed of who his parents are or where he’s from but he knows your background shapes who you are in his job industry - so he’d rather just not anyone ask about it. 

He graduated from Columbia with honors. Majoring in Political Science. He’s been interning/working for various congressmen in New York since his second year. 

He’s known to most as AJ - except for anyone at work, they all call him Alexander. 

He’s pretty charming, takes his job and his life goals really seriously. Is good at spinning stories and telling people what they want to hear in order for him to get his way. Though he’d pride himself in not being a crooked politician if he ever made into parliament. 

He lives in a tiny flat in Brooklyn but his wardrobe and who he’s seen with would make you think he owns a fancy apartment on the upper east side.

He’s really good at not showing his emotions and sort of being a mystery.

This is his third summer here. Third summer staying with his best friend Sutton and mostly enjoys it because it helps him network with all these rich folk who are bound to help him in his career somehow.

Okay so first things first: HELLO! i’m laurel and i am so incredibly excited to be here! i honestly wouldn’t shut up about the rp ever since i came across it so i apologize for all of these exclamation points! anywho! now that that’s out of the way, i can talk about my child, theresa!

history

theresa lendle was born on the 23rd of december, 1995, in south africa. she lived there for twelve years before the whole family moved to the states because her dad was offered a position in a pretty big firm.

dad’s an attorney, mum’s a professor.

growing up, theresa’s always had a shaky relationship with her parents. they didn’t want her, they wanted sons. and they never failed to remind her of that. they did get a son though, two years after they had theresa. she became invisible to them from then on.

everything she did never seemed to be good enough for her parents, even if good enough meant perfect grades and multiple accomplishments. if it wasn’t her brother doing it then it was of no importance.

sooooo, naturally, she grew bitter about it all. the time came that she grew tired, exploded, and ran away. but. she went back. not because she loved them or cared for them. it was because of her pride. no way would she run away from them. she decided then that what they think didn’t matter that much to her. 

thus, began her career as a solo act. she lives on her own now and is studying business. she seriously doesn’t give a shit about her parents. or does she??

she still tags along with them to villa novella though.  sort of an obligation. keep the family image good and all.

personality

so theresa’s sour af. she basically hates the whole world. maybe it’s because she never felt loved growing up? hmm

she does have manners though and knows how to respect people.

quiet at first impression, and generally keeps to herself but when she does open her mouth only unpleasant things come out.

she's also very bossy.

and difficult to please.

but deep, deep, deep, deep down has a heart maybe?

oh, and she’s not a big fan of spontaneity. she likes order.
