what threw me off about manon's hiatus was how pinky up, for some reason, had to be rerecorded as ot5.. like there's no way they didn't already record pinky up before her hiatus considering she was in the nylon shoot and i think they had hinted at new music before the hiatus. i feel like if it was a regular hiatus, they would've released pinky up as ot6 and then js recorded an ot5 backtrack after the annoncement.

exactly like i've never seen the whole group actively pretending/being forced to pretend like their member who's supposedly on hiatus does not exist. they can't even mention manon?? the most we got was lara saying "all six of us" and yoonchae touching her nose, which is subtle as hell.

also, jeongyeon and mina from twice were part of the mv when they went on hiatus even though they took a break from the promotions. so like idk honestly. i was thinking about this last night and felt like disappearing bc i felt so down. like they just pretend as if manon never debuted w the girls but there's also the dance formation which looked very much like there was a member missing. it looks asymmetrical as hell and they could've made it the same as le sserafim bc they have five members but kats have it different

yessss!! this is why i hate it when people say 'it's just a hiatus, it happens all the time' and call eyekons dramatic for pointing out how weird it is. the way geffen is handling this is not normal!!

and i say geffen cuz u could also compare it to chaewon and moka's hiatuses, whose groups are also under hybe. illit were bringing up moka all the time and lsf literally took a cardboard cutout of chaewon with them to their promotions. so we know hybe isn't the issue.

changing choreo and line distribution is expected considering how much they perform but making the girls act like manon just doesn't exist is weird as hellll.
