Since everyone is stating that they'll be staying albeit the closure of the said roleplay, i, too, will be doing the same actions as the other roleplayers. I will be staying as Jongup, there would be no changes in both his character and his background. The story will still continue with him as a citizen. Interactions will be surely stay the same unless the other party says otherwise.
The frequency of replies released will be still the same as ever. Procrastination is such a deadly disease, but nevertheless, i'll still do my best to reply.
For my ongoing threads, please do tell me if you're planning to stop it so that i'll stop waiting for it. And also i'll be not dropping any of my threads, but if i do/did, it only means that i forgot that. (seriously, i have some major memory issues)
Anyways, now that's done, i'll be doing/waiting for the replies ^3^
Gikwang // Jongup - Need a place called Home
Gikwang watched as Jongup’s body shivered, which he figured was it’s reaction to the idea of taking cold showers. It made him think back to when he first moved in here, before he found out about the lever that turned on the heat in the showers. Those first few months were probably the worst for him since he absolutely hated taking showers when the water was freezing cold. He let out a sigh, “Take your showers at night then, I can get afternoons.” Gikwang didn’t understand how he could kill so many people without one regret in his mind, but the idea of this other guy taking a cold shower had him giving up his night slot.
Well, what’s done is done. Since he mostly slept the day away, showering in the afternoon gave him an actual reason to get up out of bed and stay up. He walked over to the fruit bowl on the counter and grabbed an apple. He took a bite, then looked back at Jongup when he heard the other boy’s pause. Gikwang laughed, “Well I don’t know if it’s fair since I’m pretty sure my situation was a little more complicated that yours,” He said, but nonetheless continued. “My parents kicked me out when they caught me messing around with my boyfriend. I was just sixteen but I had enough money saved in my own account to come here.”
Thinking back on the situation, Gikwang laughed again. He understood why his father kicked him out. Sure, some of it probably had to do with him being homosexual, but he’s positive the main reason was because he felt himself losing control over the house. His mother walked all over his father for most of Gikwang’s life so the idea of his son doing the same thing must have infuriated him. He took another bite of the apple, then placed it down on the counter. “Let me show you the garden outside,” He said, walking out the back door. As soon as they were outside GIkwang spoke again. “So where do you work?” he asked, remembering the other boy mentioning a job earlier.
When he watched the man take an apple, talk about his life – learning things about him – and also having a tour in the house, realization hit him. The interior of the house is a bit grand for the payment that the owner asks him. Is this a fraud? He had asked himself but dismissed the thought quickly because well what will they benefit from doing this? But then maybe it’s just he’s too naïve to think of bad things.
When Gikwang offered him the night slot, he suddenly felt uncomfortable. “No, it’s okay.” He muttered while following him. “I’m quite fine taking a bath in the morning, I’m already used to it.” He said before scratching the back of his neck. “It’s not that I will die if I took a cold shower.” He let out a broken laugh, an awkward one.
He followed him with noisy taps of his shoe. It’s a habit, really, he liked how those small noise resounds around the hollow mansion. He doesn’t know when he had liked this kind of sound, but he likes it, he likes it very much. It filled the gap left when the conversation stopped.
When Jongup learned about Gikwang’s orientation, he couldn’t help but stare at him clandestinely. Gikwang is quite masculine, that’s what Jongup had thought everytime. He looks reliable and could easily take down three guys – or more- down bare-handed. But maybe he just has his facts completely twisted and well all stereotyping sexualities.
When they finally reached the garden, he looked around with awe. He stopped looking around and faced the guy asking the question. “Hmm, well I work as a service crew in McDonalds.” He smiled before he started to scratch a nonexistent itch on his temple. “You should drop by. I will give you some discount.” He laughed for a bit.
Jiho // Jongup - A distracting introduction
Step after step, feet frantically pacing the distance between his assailant while carefully avoiding each crack in fear of tripping or dragging the other kid along with him, Jiho could only dash the alley of what he believed was familiar until he could feel his stamina slowly depleting with every movement. It occurred to him that the other boy was still in his grasp and keeping up with him as he made his way further along the dark maze.
Despite the beating and pounding of his blood through his ears, Jiho eventually heard the footsteps behind them slow and fade before he was suddenly physically tugged out of his adrenaline rush by the boy beside him into a small but brightly lit store past the doors into the noisy crowds. Only when the door slammed shut, did it fully awaken Jiho to his surroundings of the overwhelming stench of alcohol and buzzing surrounding sound of human voices.
The hand was pulled out of his as the boy beside him demanded him of what’d happened. Jiho blinked, wondering how much the other had seen or heard – he could take a chance and assume the other had seen nothing – yes, that was the safest route. “I pissed off my friend,” he forced a smile as he gestured behind him, “Violent guy. Guess I should watch my words with him, eh?” Please work. Please buy it.
Infuriated about the excuse, Jongup sighed exasperatedly. He doesn’t care about what they were doing. He doesn’t care about what that scary looking dude did to the guy with the distracting hairdo. He doesn’t care whether they are bros or something else. He doesn’t care about it all. All he cared about is the reason why he was dragged along and was forced to run and deplete what the energy what was left in his body.
Being hungry was already life draining and now this. He’s sweaty for moving too much even though the night was quite cold-ish. He was dragged in some unknown place and is now hiding from some hooligan that the guy somewhat provoked.
The chattering went on and on in the background. His nose caught a whiff of cigarette making his face contort in disgust. He had never liked the scent of smoke and somewhat thinks it’s stupid to use one.
Now that the hype died down, he felt his stomach grumble. He’s getting hungry and having a conversation with this guy doesn’t really make him full or anything. He shouldn’t be asking for directions or anything from him but he would seriously choose talking to him than some random dude right now.
“I’ll believe you for now.” He muttered after his last sharp intake of air. His body had started to calm down from the run, his mind was getting clear but his stomach is still as empty as before. “But that doesn’t mean that I actually believe he’s your friend.” He said afterwards.
He looked around and moved somewhat closer to him, “Do you know where I am right now?” He whispered.
Hoya // Jongup - Safe and Sound
Howon’s smile brightened upon hearing the boy himself confirm that he was alive and okay. Another exhale in relief. “I hope you don’t bruise easily..” He laughed sheepishly. “It was a pretty hard fall.. No matter what you say, I’ll still feel ba— oh!” He suddenly raised both hands in a sign of denial, shaking his head vigorously. “I—I didn’t save you!”
His cheeks colored. ‘Save’ was such a.. grand word. It implied that the other boy somehow owed him his life or the state he was in now; Howon had only honestly reacted out of instinct, and he didn’t want the boy to give him gratitude for so small a thing. “Uh, it’s what any decent person should’ve done, really.”
He paused. “I’m actually kind of shocked that nobody curbside pulled you back. I had to push through people to get to you, you know? .. If anyone had grabbed you right when you got into the street, it would’ve saved us a lot of drama. .. And your tailbone. It would’ve saved your tailbone from hurting— Um, are you absolutely positive that you’re okay?”
Jongup looks around without moving that much. His eyes spared small secret glances on each side before refocusing to the guy in front of him. He sighed softly, undetected, before smiling once again eyes crescent and all normal.
Decent. Jongup pondered what that word is all about and came to a conclusion that it’s an act rarely seen nowadays. People had stopped showing decency. “People had stopped caring for anyone but themselves, that’s just how life is.” He muttered low almost like a whisper before running his fingers through his greasy hair made by hair products with lips clamped shut.
He smiled once again before chuckling, “uhm, I think they were just busy to notice me.” He moved his hand and clenched it in front of his lips.
He waved his hand in a carefree manner. “Everything is quite fine right now, well except the fact that my arse still hurts.” Jongup found the sudden concern from the other person quite refreshing and nice, he couldn’t help but smile at it.
He took a step away backwards then started jumping for some time before turning around. “See, I have no injury. My body functions well. And I don’t feel any pain. There’s nothing to worry about me anymore.” He laughed as he found the concern resembled how a mother would feel to their children.

Lick Me
Jongup knows how low people think of about him and also about his job. Every night, he wakes up from his room, washes up and walks out with dishevelled hair – not caring anymore if he styles it or not it’ll be ruined anyways.
We he couldn’t do anything about that. The pay is high, free food and sometimes lodging and most of all it’s the only thing he knows to do in his life. As shameful as it is, he couldn’t do anything but do it and let it be a part of his life.
He passed through a small alley, went under a bridge and then there came view a small house with windows covered with cloth. He sighed as he ran his fingers through his hair product free hair. He opened the door, it clunked and a bell attached to it rung as a sign of someone opening the wooden door.
The male behind the counter looked at him, nodded then pointed at the reddish door on the left side of the house. He went there after lazily waving at him.
Kiss me sexily oppa.
It was during that night when this happened. Two strangers found comfort from each other and then things happened. It was during that night with lights shaking up the whole place, drunken people collapsing on the floor while others still continued drinking. The bartender was on the roll, heels turning around to satisfy each customer with their orders.
Jongup was on the side, glass held with his hand as he looked around. There were tons of gorgeous people around, like perhaps those two girls on the corner casually flirting with the guys on them, or maybe that girl on the table eyes trained on some guy across her, and well lastly, that feisty looking girl staring at him.
The signs were there, and Jongup never lets anything away when the signs were clear. He chugged whatever that’s left in his glass before letting it down on the table. He stood up and started making his way towards her, each step of his shoes resounds inside his brain. Everything became quiet but the movements were still there. Jongup wondered what happened for a second but dismissed it easily when his eyes locked once again to the girl now nearing to him.
They met halfway on the side of the dance floor. The girl was clearly flirting with him so he flirted back. His hands went to her hips easily eliciting a soft laughter from his company. He took it as a good sign and decided to move more. Ignoring the crowd behind them, Jongup faced her with his hands now on both sides of his hips.
He leaned closer, he could already smell her perfume. He felt his heart beat intensified at every centimetre he closes in. He could feel her breath against her skin, and everything that’s all inside his head right now is how plump her lips are.
He angled his head on the side before tasting those lips with his. His hand, from her waist, went to her neck and held her close with his other hand around her back. He could feel how her body curved with his.
He bites her lips softly, before moving his tongue inside her. She tasted sweet and he could totally get addicted with it. Everything disappeared and all that’s left was him and her in the middle of nothingness. He pushed himself in to her more as he aggressively controls everything. His hand went from her neck to her hair, pulling it down to so that he could make a better angle to kiss her.
The beat thumped behind him, his senses finally recovering from the sudden disappearance. He felt his blood rush through the veins of his body. A monstrous force inside him as lust slowly kicks in. He opened his eyes, lips still on the other’s, and saw how the angel before him twist in ecstasy.
He pulled away slightly, brushing his nose against her cheeks before slowly dipping his head closer to her ear and whispered something that was drowned as the music of the club got louder.
"Use me."
The stress from school isn’t actually helping to lighten up his mood. The professor decided to hinder their chance of passing this class with projects and paper works that isn’t supposed to be given in their year. The paper works are all about numbers, words and terms that wasn’t yet taught to them by their glorious teacher. The lack of lessons about the said project makes everything more stressful and brain aching.
Days passed and his life had only two stops, School and Home. He had given up every fun he should be having these past few weeks, all those mall trips, eating outside without rushing anything and also that blissful breeze when he decides to leave school at night. Everything was completely in disarray just because of this project.
He stares at the blinking bar of his Word software thinking what to put in the blank whiteness of the document. He let out a grunt and started messing up his hair. He pushed his chair out of the table and started wobbling towards his bed before plopping down face forward. He needs a break, hell he deserves a fucking break.
Fishing his phone from the pockets of his sweatpants, he searched for a name in his phone and called it before turning around to lie on his back. When the other person took the call (for just short seconds) Jongup stated what he wanted to and the call ended.
After a few minutes, there came knocks on his door, he smiled. He pushed himself up from his bed with his elbows and started walking to meet up with the guy he just called. After a slow turn of the knob and also unlocking the lock system, there came full view a guy taller than him.
He pulled the man inside before closing the door and locking it afterwards. The guy was you could say a gentle giant. He’s smiling, tall and quite good physique. He’s also attractive, hell he’s sexy. Jongup couldn’t help but smirk at how fast the guy appeared right on his doorsteps.
He went to his room, sat on the table and waited till the guy followed him. He then patted the space beside him and crossed his legs with his hands behind him supporting his weight as he lean back.
The male – Jiho – did what Jongup silently instructed him to do without breaking his gaze to him. And with that everything became a blur for him.

Hoya // Jongup - Safe and Sound
Howon exhaled, relief washing over his body as the boy moved, spoke. He was still slightly dazed from the entire ordeal; people moved past him to cross the street now that the light had turned green, but he hardly noticed them, kept his hands on the other male’s shoulders to steady him.
"You— you weren’t looking while you were crossing," he said finally, with a sigh, one arm moving to point at the streetlight. "Red means stop. Green means go. And there’s a pedestrian crossing signal right over there. You have to pay attention to stuff like this, or.. what just happened will.. happen again, okay? Someone might not be there to help you next time, so it’s dangerous to be spacing out." Howon couldn’t quite put his finger on why he felt comfortable enough to reprimand the boy (Hojun, his mind supplied, but he ignored it). His expression soon softened into one of concern. “Anyway, are you okay? Can you stand on your own?” A small pause. “I’m sorry I couldn’t.. cushion your fall or anything.”
As the guy tried to fill all the spaces inside his head, everything cleared up. He did it again. He was at the brink of dying, just a step away from death’s doors, just one wrong foot forward could’ve already ended his own adventure and story. His carelessness would’ve brought tears to his mother’s eyes, pain to his father’s heart and also left memories in their house. Everything would be depressing but Jongup was quite sure they’ll somehow cope with it as time pass by.
But that’s not important that time. This kind of accident isn’t something new anymore. Back in the days he already faced tons of possible death due to his light headedness. He was saved a few times as well by his classmates, he could still remember how made they were because of how close an accident could’ve happen. But it didn’t and that’s what matters to Jongup.
He had escaped tons of attempts of Death. Gosh, he’s quite unlucky today. He sighed as he slowly pulled himself upright. He stared at the guy as he explained things that Jongup deemed somewhat irrelative to what their situation was.
He couldn’t help but awkwardly laugh at the empathy the man was showing towards him. He was full of warmth, Jongup decided as he remembered how the guy even pointed the streetlight and gave him toddler lessons about Red and Green.
“Ahh, so that’s what happened.” It was a close call indeed but luckily someone still saved him. “I’m quite fine now, still a bit shaken but I’ll live.” He heaved a deep breath before releasing it softly. He smiled at him before shaking his head. “Ahh, it’s okay. You pulling me away is more than enough. You saved me.” He grinned before blinking. “But, seriously, that was a close call.” He laughed.
— routine ; kai & jongup
It was during times like these he started questioning whether or not it was all worth it; crawling out of his bed so early in the morning regardless his schedule, the pile of tests looming before him motivating him to scamper towards the bathroom to take a hot shower and compelled his senses to wake up. He didn’t understand what else he was doing that for apart from the fact that he needed to maintain this façade of being the quintessence of an ideal (grand)son, one which he despised to admit for it made him feel fake, skin wrapped in layers of artificiality. But it wasn’t like he had any other choice, so he still finished his shower as quickly as possible, shuddering a little as he dried himself with the plush towel. He put on his favorite sweater (or one of them—he had plenty) and yesterday’s jeans, dusting them from the remnants of the stale cigarette stench after the hours he spent doing nothing but watching the billowing smoke escaped his mouth as he sat on the long bench by the river.
Morning was never a friend for him, but at least it got friendlier after the caffeine in his bloodstream started working its magic, following the moment he’d chugged down two mugs of the light brown dulcet liquid. Shoving details of lessons into his memory in his home had never worked though—a reason as to why he did most of his work outside; in a library or in a café, and usually in such an early period like this he would pace his Z4 towards the place he normally visited due to the certainty that it would remain open as it had promised to welcome their patrons 24/7. He parked the car not far from the entrance, the parking lot nearby was barely inhabited by cars since it was still too early for the majority of the city.
He slung the strap of his backpack on a shoulder before exiting his car, making his way towards the place. A yawn slipped out amidst his strides as he headed straight to the cashier, ordering the normal breakfast menu and another cup of coffee—McDonald’s was definitely never the provider of the best coffee yet he needed it to keep him awake, possibly because the drink played a mind trick in his brain more than it actually functioned in his system.
He settled himself behind the table in a corner, where his back would be against the wall so that nobody could peek at what he was working on. He started munching on his burger as he scanned the rows of text printed on pieces of paper perching atop the table before him, his laptop sitting open a little farther from him, the notes from lectures on the screen. Ten minutes in and he was already bored out of his wits, the lines being ones he’d been memorizing for the whole week as he couldn’t risk having his grades plummet at all. A 90% could stain his pristine result within a blink of an eye, yet he couldn’t concentrate. And when he looked around, his attention was captured by the man whom he’d seen a lot during his frequent visits to this place. He probably stared a little too long at the employee, but his reflex was never considered agile so early in the morning, and so it took him a while to actually avert his gaze even when he should’ve done so two seconds ago.
If somebody would Jongup what would be his biggest regret is, he would say that it was around that time when he focused all of his attention, time and determination towards nothing and all he did was go to school, and rest in his home afterward. He had never even felt the thrill of being a student, experiencing tons of things that could actually change the way how he view life.
If he would be asked to say another answer for the same question, he would stop to think but no answer will come out of his mouth other than what he answered before. He never regretted the fact that him and his family leaves averagely, or the fact that he has no up to date laptop or phone. He had already quite accepted the fact that luxury is something he’ll never obtain in this lifetime of his. Maybe in his other life he could persevere to live luxuriously, but as of now, such wish would be unobtainable.
He was staring blankly at the mirrored doors of the shop. It’s too early to function well and the cold shower from his new place wasn’t that much of a help than what he expected it to be. His expectations came crashing down along with the cold water which had touched his bare skin. He jolted, jumped and shivered with the new sensation tingling his sleepy senses. But right after the shower, drowsiness took over and everything he did had not help at all. He was yawning when he dressed up and also yawning after he left the house with sneaky feet and held breath.
Everyday this had become his schedule. Wake up before 6, prepare for your job, eat, drink, dress up and walk to your workplace. With this early strolls outside, he would occasionally see cats of different sizes and color lazing on top of bricked walls. He would see some old people taking their morning walks to keep their bones strong and also the breeze of early day is something he loves as well, even though most of the time he would end up prickling his skin.
His reverie was broken by a piercing gaze that he had coming from the customers section. One of the customers from the table was someone who Jongup had already familiarized himself. He had seen the guy a few times before but not ever in the past had he decided to approach the guy. He doesn’t have a reason to do so.
He was afraid of taking initiatives, afraid at the sudden slap of rejection and looks. He was scared of the unknown, scared of uncertainties and also scared of what a sudden change of action could result to. But right at the back of his head, maybe, maybe a sudden change of flow would change something within him as well. Would maybe bring some splash of color in his life? That maybe he could still do something about the regret he had during the time when he was still a student.
He’ll try, he’ll try to change something in his routine of life. He’s going to do something to change the flow of his days and put a new point to the endless cycle of his actions. He’ll try, he’ll try.
With cautious steps, he slowly walked out of the counter. The place had still empty tables across the place. The co-workers who have the same shift as he does were tending the cashiers. A line was nowhere to be seen due to the small amount of customers. The day was still early and still chilly. It wouldn’t hurt to casually talk to one of their customer right?
He stopped at the other side of the table. Feet on the floor and eyes on the guy, often directing the gaze away from him but only to have it again back at him. It was not the first time he had seen the guy up close, but this was the first time he did saw him without the cash register in between them.
Would this question be fine to be asked?
“I’m quite not sure, but I think I’ve seen you looking at my direction. I’m not implying anything or taking offence to that. I’m just … maybe you need something from me? I don’t know.” His brain wasn’t functioning well but he was wishing that the idea would be successfully expressed and that the other male wouldn’t feel any bad thing about what he said.
He stood awkwardly in front of him. Hand on his nape, scratching it softly before he blew off a soft sigh.
Gikwang // Jongup - Need a place called Home
Gikwang nodded his head as the other boy explained moving out. As soon as he met him, Gikwang thought Jongup was more of the silent type, one of those introverts who don’t really say much. He didn’t mind, but hearing his answer, the male figured there was more to his new neighbor than meets the eye. “I can understand that, I made sure I was out of my parent’s house as soon as I turned 16. Here let me help you,” He walked over and took the bag from Jongup and set it lightly on the mattress. “Come on, I’ll show you the rest of this palace.”
They stepped outside the room and Gikwang flicked his head towards the stairs. “Our lovely hosts live in the master bedroom upstairs. They’re both retired so the old man only comes down once in awhile to get supplies and the woman when she makes their meals or waters her plants outside.” He lead Jongup to the small, narrow hallway until they reached the kitchen. ” This is the kitchen, make sure you label everything that’s yours, because that’s the only way I;ll stop myself from eating everything in sight,” He teased. “Stove doesn’t work though but we have a microwave and if you know how to use a hotplate you can borrow mine.”
"If you make a left on the hallway we just went through, you’ll find the bathroom." Gikwang grinned and motioned the other male to follow him to a small box on the wall farthest from them. "I’m supposed to tell you that we only have cold water, but I don’t want your first living experience to suck that much so I’ll let you in on a little secret," he revealed, opening the box and pointing at a small lever in the middle. "Last year I figured out that the old farts upstairs were hogging up all the hot water for their shower. Well later I figured out that if you pull on this lever, the gas will go to our shower instead.
"But you got to be smart," Gikwang warned."You can only do that when one of their shows is on otherwise they might find out. Their shows are on from 8 am to 9 am, 3 pm to 4 pm, and 9 pm to 10 pm. I personally like night showers so you should grab on the other two spots."
Every word being spoken by Gikwang was automatically registered inside his head, especially the times he stated for taking showers. He loved his shower at least warm since cold and him doesn’t mix that well. He hated the cold, but he also dislikes intense heat. When Jongup recalled about naming everything that he owns, he nodded on his known. He doesn’t usually stock up eatable food in fridges, it’s either that food would never reach his house or he would place it inside his room. Weird yes but it keeps his things his only. He even does that in his parents’ house.
After hearing about the tenants above, he finally know that it was the one who talked to him before. The master of the house was an old man and that’s why the voice and Gikwang’s was completely different. He chuckled at the thought that he wondered how Gikwang had forgotten that a new housemate would be living with him, now he knows. But then it’s quite obvious. Given with the personality Gikwang has, it’s to be expected that he’s not the master of the house. It’s not an insult; Gikwang’s quite relaxed personality is something Jongup needed to take his mind out of stressful thoughts.
Maybe he could have this guy as his friend?
“Too bad I like night showers as well. My job is usually till afternoon. So I guess if I’m quick enough, I could shower after work during 3 – 4 pm. But I guess I have to deal with the cold water in the mornings.” He muttered before having his body experience a shiver at the sudden thought of cold water. He had tried it before already. He showered with cold water before because he was in a rush and his mind was still fogged by dreams that he had forgotten to turn the heater on. But at least it helped him be awake all throughout the first half of his shift.
“Thanks for sharing the tip, Gikwang.” He grinned before looking at the place again. “I think I’m going to get used to this kind of thing. Being free and all.” He laughed, eyes crinkling as he smiled.
"Oh and if you don't mind me asking." He paused. “How long have you been living here? And also the reason why? I just thought that it would be fair for me to know your reason as well.” He stated before turning his body to him and looked at him expectantly.
