I just saw a post of a woman celebrating getting her PhD. She threw a party where she printed her dissertation for table decorations, had champagne and snacks, hired a photographer. And someone commented “this just looks like you’re promoting rich people stuff, which everyone can’t afford especially when there’s a housing crisis.” And I’m not gonna comment but I’m gonna need them that person kill themself rn

if your animal is lying on the floor, furniture etc, it’s important to take a picture of them. then, if they move or shift in any way, it’s important to take another picture. with this technique, you can take many pictures of your animal

I think my favorite thing about the backrooms movie is how much it doesn't hold your hand and over explain things to you. you as an audience member have to figure stuff out on your own via context clues and your own thought process.

It's something I really love to see, because I really love it when a film actually trusts the audience to listen and pay attention to the film and actually figure things out.

The film never throws too many questions that it becomes hard to figure out, the movie doesn't overwhelm you with lore and questions (which is also great) but it gives you enough questions for you to start wondering about the backrooms and you should feel about it.

Me the first half of The Backrooms: "oh I get it. He's a down on his luck failed architect and even more failed furniture store owner who's trying to better himself. He'll probably be fascinated with the furniture/architecture of the backrooms and start selling the items there for money + notoriety. And eventually he'll go deeper and deeper to get more and more items until he gets trapped and encounters The Horrors. A classic tale of hubris :) "
