I don’t care how they’re marketed, these things are not wheelchair accessible, especially for large power chairs.

Every time I go over one I need someone to help hold my chair and get me over it. Even with that support it hurts like Hell and has caused whiplash injuries for me in the past. It’s also very unsafe for others because even with support I cannot 100% control the angle my chair will end up lurching over it (and my chair weighs over 150kg without me in it so it’s not something you want to collide with). It’s also terrifying and makes noises that make me very concerned for my chair’s structural integrity.

If you want your event to actually be accessible to wheelchair users then consider using something more like this:

ID: the same kind of cable cover but it’s fitted with a much shallower ramp with the international symbol of access embossed on the black plastic. The ramps are about a foot long on either side of the cover /end ID

my dad is very intensely involved a battle with his city’s public administration over a playground they have tried to forcibly remove like five times in the past 20 years and DID remove once in like 2005 but then had to rebuild because my dad was such a pain in their asses and came through with undeniable receipts of the zoning plan from the 60s/the historic/cultural value of the urban planning…. like there’s a woman in the city office who is his arch nemesis. he is literally the daredevil of urban planning

what would it take in your mind to make the doctors daughter good. how would you fix it

me personally? a lot of people probably wouldn't like this but i think i'd cut jenny. i don't think she adds to this story at all, other than showing how the cloning situation works, which i think could be shown with someone other than someone that has to be The Doctor's Daughter. martha would still get separated from the doctor and donna, and we'd still see the war from both sides, but instead of spending all their time in jail i think it would be more interesting for the doctor and donna to actually be a part of the human side, you know? because as it is the humans come across very aggressively and the hath don't. which is fun! i like it when the aliens are more blameless than the humans! but i don't think it's actually justified here, you know? the idea is that they're both blindly fighting a war, people born from test tubes, children, essentially. so i think the doctor and donna need to not be so antagonistic. i think everything needs to be sadder. these people have never seen the surface. these people have never seen sunlight. all they know are military rations and war strategies and moving from base to base. we could show the humans and the hath doing THE SAME THING. and martha still gets her journey of compassion and being the doctor. but the doctor and donna don't just get chucked in jail. so it ends up with them kind of working against each other. the doctor keeps saying maybe he can talk to the hath, donna is noticing things and pointing out all these inconsistencies. the whole thing becomes about this war. and the conclusion at the end isn't jenny gets shot and the doctor had enough, but revealing to both sides that the war they've fought, that has claimed generations, has happened over seven days. a war in a week. that there is no weapon, that this is life. this is what they were waiting for. you know?

and if you DID want to include jenny, you first have to actually give her a personality. it would probably have to be a two-parter to give them time to breathe, but i feel like you really have to dig into (1) what it means to be a time lord (2) what it means to join a civilisation of which there is only one member left and (3) the nature of being a parent. it can't just be chucked in there backflips and shooting guns. we need to slow right down. i think it would be interesting here especially if we talk about donna and her desire for parenthood--because of course donna, in this season, gains and loses two children! does she want children? what's her reaction to this? we should also see the doctor deal with essentially being forced into parenthood. this wasn't his choice! jenny also really does need to become a person rather than a military clone, which also means that she needs to not be quippy. if she starts life as a clone, she should start as someone who only knows military plans. why the hell is she making quips. her first joke should be a moment of joy! someone who laughs amongst the war she was born into! someone who wants to see the sun, wants to see the world, wants to see other worlds. she has to be a person. we need to love her. i think it would be interesting if she ends up being the end of the war because the doctor and donna have been there since her birth so she wasn't 100% into war war war because they treated her like a person, and maybe this + martha's work means that they're able to navigate some kind of peace treaty? i don't know, i try not to think about this episode too much LMAOOO. and either she needs to choose to stay with them or she needs to die a death where it's not clear which side shot her, and both sides try and save her, and when she dies it's a tragedy for her dying and not for the doctor personally.

truthfully, the thing that really could've saved it was emotional sincerity. what does it mean, to be born into a war? what does it mean to be forced into being a parent? what does it mean to watch your friend have to become a parent? everything is a joke and if anyone's upset they're in the wrong. it just needs someone to take the situation seriously.
