"Is this seat taken?" It had been a simple question. A question so basic that it was the sort one asked out of politeness or to simply start conversation. All of the other seats in the classroom had been taken and the seat beside the male had been the only one available. Not that Albert held any complaints, he really didn’t know anyone that well so of course, he hardly knew who was acceptable to sit next to and who wasn’t. And, this man certainly couldn’t have been all that bad if he was taking an arts course, a part of Albert reasoned with himself. Truth be told, the blond had been quite nervous about entering a new and unfamiliar college. His family had moved into the area for a job relocation and bam! Here was Albert—or Alexia as he called himself—confused, lost, and slightly hopeful for the new year.

The paraplegic had always kept to himself in all of his classes unless group work. So when the sound of someone speaking to him finally hit him, he looked up with a small start. Stuttering with his words before finally answering.

"Uhm, no. I don't think anyone's sitting there." He barely sounded like he'd been audible for the person wanting to sit down. Why was it he was so shy to anyone aside from Maddox. He guessed he just really needed to do a little more socializing.

He’d never heard Johnathan make those sounds before. It was.. well it was pretty hot. The kiss was way more than he thought it would be. It opened a door they both apparently were waiting to burst through. 

Maddox parted his lips slightly, tilting his head just a bit. Delivering tender kisses, slowly. One after another, then another and once more. Just one more. No way he wanted to stop kissing him. It was too good, the ravenet was already hooked. 

A hand came up to caress Johnathan’s jawline. His thoughts becoming hazed with how amazing this embrace was. The ravenet then slid his tongue past those lips to seek out the other’s. Shifting his frame closer, he wanted to feel his body against his own.

It didn't seem like there was any kind of chance that this was going to stop. And that was just what the blond wanted. But dammit he was still shaking. As relaxed as he felt around the ravenet, he didn't want any of this to go wrong. 

His arms reached out and clung to to the taller's shirt. Each tender kiss pulling him in more and more. And then there was the wet muscle that slipped past his own lips. 

Meeting it with his own and clinging even tighter, he was nearly pulling himself up from his chair just to get closer to him.

Sudden Kisses

  He’s right there.. Right. There.

Maddox could feel his heart pounding nearly out of his chest. For so long they’d been best friends. He and Johnathan went through everything together. Since they were kids, they’d been inseparable. So this made sense. It made SO much sense! He felt like an idiot for not noticing it sooner. But.. he said it, what Maddox had hoped he’d say..

'I’m…I’m okay with it.'

"Yeah, I really want to. Like.. you don’t even know, Johnathan~” He whispered his name as their lips drew closer. His heartbeat was running a mile a minute. 

He couldn’t hold back any longer. Go for it now. He was waiting..

..those lips..

The kiss was gentle. His lips were so soft. It seemed as if their mouths naturally fit together. Maddox let out a soft moan, content, happy, wanting more, nothing else, just more of his kiss.

It's really really happening. 

He could feel his heart pounding against his ribs. The feeling itself nearly taking his breath away. That was until he felt Maddox' kiss. Something they had seen a hundred times in movies and given each other awkward glances over. Something that Johnathan had thought about probably a thousand times in the past year or so but he'd been too damn scared to do anything about it. 

All that fear and worry washed away when they came together. 

Now he wanted to try more. Where they could stop, he didn't know. He just wanted to keep kissing him. To taste him. They both seemed to want so much of it. 

The small sounds coming from Maddox had brought out muffled whimpers from the paraplegic.

That was a little unexpected. He was just glad he got his laptop away in time before it was crushed under him. "Hey..." They'd done this a few times before. Nightmares when they were little, too many scary movies when they weren't even supposed to be watching them, a few times staying up too late with anime.

All of that was just normal stuff that happened and they were completely okay with whoever fell asleep first and usually just stayed together.

This time...this time it felt different. He could feel the heat coming to his cheeks staring wide eyed in silence now and hearing the ravenet snoring. Sighing quietly before resting his arms around the other and getting settled for sleep.

Guess that's his new way of saying it's time to go to bed and put my homework down...

Well shit. 

Now the hellion really was blushing, the way Johnathan was looking at him. It was different. In a good way, of course. Sure they’d teased each other before but.. things were changing, maybe this was an opportunity for something amazing. 

One step closer..

He nibbled his lower lip as he tried not to stare at his friend’s mouth. Now it was in his mind, he just had to let it out. Now or never, right?

 ”Um, so if it’s okay with you..” Leaning down, their faces so very close now. “I’d much rather kiss you.. on the lips.”

He'd wanted to do something like this for a while now. But he was always afraid of either destroying their friendship, or just making things awkward that everything would just slowly fall apart. He knew Maddox was always open minded, but...

Stop shaking stupid...this is your chance.

"I'm...I'm okay with it. I mean if you really want to uhm--yea." Why'd he suddenly have to get even the tiniest bit shy about it. This was Maddox, the one person who wasn't going to shun him for anything. And had proved that the first time he found the scars, even the first day they'd met back in fifth grade.

"Oh! OH! You’re one to talk! Mister two left wheels!” Maddox was sputtering laughter now. Johnathan would always have some awesome comeback, it was one of the reasons he was his best friend. The guy could take it and dish it right back without a second thought. Taking a drag from his cigarette and blowing a stream of smoke out the window.

"Hey, c’mon! Check it out! They got an action movie marathon goin today!" He called over his shoulder, his eyes kept to the screen.

The blond smiled to himself getting dressed. He was quietly laughing at the final comeback. Finally dressed he wheeled over slowly to check out the movie. This was a normal thing with the two of them. Grinning as he adjusted his pajama legs down to his feet.

"Oh! Be that guy goes flying from the bullets!" Getting himself down from the chair was easy enough, after doing it so many times to sit in the floor against the beanbag chair.

Every time he saw Johnathan blushing, the ravenet would grin a bit more. In response, he gave a light shrug. “Well.. see, that spot on your neck was looking real kissable..” He felt his own cheeks warming now. 

"I- I just .. wanted to." Rubbing the back of his messy black mane. "M’sorry, didn’t mean t’make ya feel uncomfortable."

He could swear his heart skipped a beat. The color in his cheeks only got darker with what Maddox was saying. He pursed his lips trying to come up with something he could say.

"I'm not uncomfortable, I mean...I can't be with you. That's just--" He was running the risk of really sounding stupid but, with what Maddox said he couldn't help it. "You don't have to stop."
