More spider spam, I have a few hcs about like the culture n society of COTL spiders and one of them is that while spiders are typically solitary, related individuals whom are about to have clutches will typically group up to raise their spiderlings together in a group, so these two are Helob and Sozo’s web-mothers, a pair of sisters by the names Shelob and Amanita! Shelob lived in the Silk Cradle but moved to Anura when she was about to have a clutch to raise them with Amanita’s. The little frog buddy Shelob has is based on the fact that a species of tarantula lets a species of small frog live in its burrows, because the frogs eat ants and other insects that would be a threat to the tarantula’s eggs.

Helob and Sozo are both trans in my beautiful mind and Helob was admittedly. Not very creative with his name he just removed the s since he was named after his webmother </3 and I think Sozo prefers to go by the shorter version of his name. Genetically the two of them are cousins but they have a more sibling-like relationship thanks to being raised in the same web, though nowadays they’re very estranged for reasons that are obvious.

Sozo always had a knack for mushroom-hunting, by the way.
