Trying to think about the specifics of a Psyche/Eros AU for Bloodymary
• Ryland is Psyche
• Simon is Eros
• I imagine Ava in the position of Aphrodite. Mostly just for the fact that Eros is Aphrodite's "right hand man" in a sense. It would be a different take on the Eros& Aphrodite dynamics but I think I could make it work theoretically
• Could maybe see Rocky and Adrian as the rulers of the "Kingdom" Erid
• Not entirely sure on who to do for the siblings. I'm not very into Ryan Gosling movies specifically so I unfortunately don't think I'd be able to do Colt (or any other AU sibling) justice. Literally the only other Ryan Gosling character I could confidently write for is Ken 🧍 (and I am aware that's a significant skill issue 😔)
• Was maybe thinking about putting Stratt in the position of one of the siblings. I think it proposes an interesting dynamic as opposed to the original myth. It could be that instead of jealousy and spite, Eva's actions are motivated by wanting to protect Ryland, pushing him to gaze upon "Eros" in the same way she pushed him to go to space. Idk. Could be fun
• Maybe just retcon the sibling idea altogether and make Stratt someone connected to the royal family
Idk. This is mostly just word vomit to help me organize my thoughts and figure out if this is fanfic I actually want to pursue or not :P
(If anyone has any ideas for Simon as Eros that would fit with his lore, pls lmk! I'm so open to contributions and I love hearing other people's ideas!! :3)
