It is oddly quite in the House of Lamentation. Uncharacteristically peaceful. Not like you were complaining, though.
The attic room is warm and cozy. Belphie lay sprawled like a starfish on the bed, lost in dreamland, slightly drooling. You played idly with his tailā twisting it around your fingers, messing up and re-smoothing the tuft of hair at the end, tracing lazy patterns on it until belphie subconsciously flicks it away in response. You, of course, made sure you were gentle enough so as to not wake him up.
Belphie makes a soft, content sound before scooting closer, pressing his face against the side of you thigh, swishing his tail in annoyance when you stop your ministrations.
You suddenly feel a weight on your back, followed by sounds of chewing.
"Hi", replied the red-head, words muffled in between chewing.
You hear him gulp down the food before replying. "The human world chocolate you gave me. It was really good."
"I'm glad you liked it", you say as you reach your hand back to ruffle his hair. You feel him lean more of his weight onto your back, looping his arms around your belly.
Neither of you talk for a few minutes.
Ah, it appears that he has fallen asleep. Oh well. You continue playing with Belphie's tail, just enjoying the peace. After all, such peaceful moments are quite rare when you're living with the brothers.
For a while, nothing happens. The world feels small and safe.
