Been a while since I’ve posted here but I’m getting more into personal projects, I promise! Here’s my entry for the Ace Attorney OC contest (please open the character sheet in a new tab so you can see it in in a bigger resolution since those sprites are at the 3DS resolution.)  You can also view it on the court records website here: http://beta.court-records.net/fanart/142 and I also uploaded the model to sketchfab here:  1. It won’t be anytime soon, maybe in a few months but I’m researching artists to commission a piece/pieces for my new apartment.

Eh why not, I mostly do 3D these days but there is 2D on there!

This is sooo late and there’s a million other things I wanted to do (texturing an environment and animation for one) but here’s my gift for @trainsforbrains for the Twin Peaks Gift Exchange!  I think I may have bit off a more than I can chew but that’s okay.  I hope to properly rig these guys (or at least the base they were based off) in the future.  Each of them is about 1000 tris which I see as an accomplishment.  For now, I threw them into Mixamo and grabbed poses I liked from stock animations, but I think they turned out okay! The prompt I chose was Dale and Francis York Morgan from Deadly Premonition talking about bad movies.   If anyone wants to nose around in the scene I included the whole thing on sketchfab, so you can see all that high fidelity detail  Hope you like it trains!!

Flexing my true talents: SKELETON GORE

Alright this isn’t portfolio quality yet but if I look at it any more I’m going to scream.  I’ve been working on this on and off for a few months now and it’s gone through a bunch of redesigns.  Many times I’ve fucked off to work on something else out of frustration but I’m calling it done enough to post now.

So I really love Illbleed.  It really is a pipe dream of mine to crowdfund some sort of sequel, if enough people are interested and whoever owns the IP wouldn’t blam that sort of thing.  I just want there to be another game in existence with that level of completely unapologetic B-movie aesthetic, schlock and humor- there truly is nothing else like it.  So a couple of the monsters in here have backstories (you’d better believe I was thinking over an Illbleed-esque opening narration while I was designing them).  The major change I’d want to make is retconning the frankly disappointing true ending.  Sorry, I’d want to make Eriko a badass.

So yeah, tons of problems here, stuff I still need to fix...but I’m calling it done enough for now.  And yeah, if anyone knows more about the possibility of crowdfunding a sequel to this game or is interested in such a thing, hit me up.  It’s not something I have planned out at all, but I’d like to gauge interest, maybe eventually make a little test level or something.
