The switch up on her during the second trial was WAY TOO QUICK. Yes, I understand that she killed someone and is generally not a good friend or person, but the demonization of her is just... not it.

gets treated like A Bitch and The Worst and a ""master manipulator"" once its revealed that she might've been a bully despite being 16 and acting like how many would, especially at her age, which is to desperately try to believe that you've done nothing wrong and paint yourself in a better light. especially considering her ideas on friendship (letting them do what they want) and how her friends turned on her and bullied her too and how shes very much a product of a toxic school enviroment.

She's definitely been submitted a few times already but I can't not talk about her. Muu Kusunoki is a bully turned bully victim from the series Milgram, an interactive music project which lets the fans choose to forgive or not forgive the characters for murder. After being bullied to the point of near suicide, Muu snaps and stabs another one of her classmates who refused to help her. For the first round of voting, people chose to forgive her, but for the second round the fandom has completely changed their minds on her. Muu has a very black and white view of the world and a messed up idea of friendship, so the best way to change her way of thinking according to the majority of fans is to sign her up for psychological torture and potential physical abuse as well! Even though she's already been hurt and betrayed by the people she cared for and it didn't alter her way of thinking. Even though 2 other characters (one also a teen) will potentially die because she's been voted this way. She's done terrible things in the past, and still has a long way to go in terms of improvement, but people just can't resist hurting her for things she's already been hurt for.

The way Till looked genuinely pissed off because of Ivan but he’s not mean about it(?) Just thinking. The fact that he didn’t just say fuck off right then and there when Ivan asked him for a kiss, but instead worked around it, because even though we get the irony here, it does look like Till was actually trying to ‘let him down easy.’

Even his internal dialogue is harsh, but he doesn’t voice it

And when Ivan started whining and getting in his space again either, like he’s used to it and just letting it be, it doesn’t mean he liked it but, Till really wasn’t trying to hurt Ivan.

Asking because I'm curious what other people think: Do you think Luka genuinely loves Hyuna? To some degree? Like truly cares for her and wants to escape from ALNST with her?

With the information we have, I don’t believe Luka’s love for HyunA was more love than a deep obsession with having a possession over her, like his deal with keeping control on the stage I think he was obsessed with keeping HyunA close. I think it’s apparent that he loved the person she was, a fiery free bird, in a cage. He loved her for that sense of control she gave him indirectly, and he loved her for the person she was, such a brightness in a life like his. He wanted to keep that close. So to some degree, maybe he loved her. But did he actually care about her? Does he even have a fundamental understanding on what it is to care about someone? I don’t think so, that’s why I don’t think the sentiments behind the meaning love exactly apply to how he feels about HyunA.

(And about escaping with her, has Luka ever desired freedom? I don’t think he can even fathom a true life outside of this game of puppet and puppeteer he’s lived his whole life, but maybe something in Hyuna’s spirit woke something up in him? irhgdidb)

Thiss^^ I personally believe it was just extreme obsession, not actual love, but then again, we've only gotten a glimpse into what they're relationship was (emphasis on the "was"), so there's a chance he could've loved her? But I doubt it.

I think the reason Luka was so obsessed with Hyuna is because of how alive she was, and how alive he felt with her. She's so full of energy and life, and he wants to experience that feeling so badly. The rush, the adrenaline, and how her heart races.

Perhaps that's one of the reasons he killed Hyun-woo, not just because of his possessiveness over Hyuna, but to possibly get a rise out of her? To see her reaction? How fast her(or his? I know Herperu stopped his heart, but idk if he stopped it permanently? Or just for like a one time thing idk lol) heart would race? Kind of what Ivan would do to Till but much, much worse.

Agreed!! Luka’s life is so monotonous, I feel like it’s a certain situation where he just likes what she represents and how she makes him feel, (a certain objectification maybe? He doesn’t really love her as a person.) She makes him feel alive and be stuck to that. (And her security maybe? In ‘on the stage’ she expresses how free she feels when she envisions being on that stage like she owns it. And Luka doubts her.)

Now that I think about it, in that scene when Luka stared back at her he smiles, like he finds the situation and what he did ‘funny’, with this interpretation he would’ve been excited to see what she would do when she saw, and when he finds that all she can do is just stand there in shock he’s surprised. He’s only ever known a HyunA that’s energetic and jumps into action. It was like a prank to him maybe? A sick one, but what does he know any better.

(And like you said, maybe he wanted to feel something, in this scene he is the most energized I’ve ever seen him really, not only did her reaction surprise him but just how thrilled/riled up he got because of this also shocked him maybe? Ggugjgig)
