I made my sister a collage with a bunch of butts on it a while back. Today I ran across my leftover butts and decided to use them for… whatever these are. I call this series “Butts.”

I’m calling this one “boys will be boys”
We can’t have universal healthcare because it would hurt the health insurance industry.
We can’t have peace because it would hurt the defense industry.
We can’t have affordable groceries because it would hurt food manufacturers.
We can’t have electric vehicles because it would hurt the oil industry.
We can’t have paid family leave because it would hurt the baby formula industry.
We can’t forgive student debt because it would hurt lenders.
We can’t fix public transportation because it would hurt car sales.
We can’t regulate landlords because it would hurt real estate investors.
We can’t clean up the environment because it would hurt fossil fuel profits.
We can’t raise wages because it would hurt corporate shareholders.
We can’t do literally anything that would improve life for the proletariats because it’s our burden to fund the entitlement program keeping the bourgeoisie comfy.
Cool.
I like to make shiny collages but they are difficult to photograph 📸
The children are ducking and covering.
I think I am here on this earth to experience the pleasure of a cat purring in my lap.
The rest of it kinda sucks, a lot.
I love you so much.
The most dramatic dusk
At what point should we care about this man? Is it when he is walking toward the sign? When he begins to tie the noose, or when he puts his hands on the sign and begins to climb? Do we care about him once he has placed the noose around his neck, or do we wait until he jumps? And if he jumps, and we are able to save him anyway, what address would he like the medical bills sent to?
In the comments, “Reach out to me if you need a friend!” but then the same person will turn around and froth at the mouth if her tax dollars buy food or health care for someone she doesn’t personally think has worked hard enough to earn the right to exist.
Maybe we should care about people who are struggling before they do something extreme. Maybe we should not treat people who need help, who are struggling, like they are a burden to society until they make an attempt to exit it for good. Even when they are difficult to help.
I fucking hate it here.
Some days the darkness
Shows through. Sometimes there isn’t
Anywhere to hide.
(I still do not want to be here)
I don’t want to be
here, I think. It is too dark
and lonely and mean.
I don’t want to be here.

From an airplane this just looks like a patch of green grass. It doesn’t change as you zoom out—your perspective does.
Also, I just learned about parasol mushrooms 👩🏫
