Considering that Jeff seems to hyperfixate on things, (The Beatles, for example) something that lives rent free in my head is the thought that Jeff has a thing for crying, or people who cry a lot. I've noticed a theme in his songs...

omg you guys i talked to bev and mel at the tribute concert for richard today 😭😭😭

i still can't believe it!!! also i'm now melvyn gale fan nr.1

still as surreal for me as it was ten hours ago. will now finally go to sleep after 35 hours.

How was it at the concert? What did you talk to them about?

The concert was amazing and a lovely tribute to Richard❤️ Bev played the drums on Rockaria (the last song of the evening) There was a Q&A beforehand. I think I'm gonna do a little write up and include some pictures, I was lucky enough to get a seat in fourth row (my mum went with me and was in third, she took the pictures)

I was a bit starstruck talking to Bev and told him that it was an honour to meet him, and some other things. ( I'm a bit embarrassed to say I have some slight memory loss because everything happened so fast and I was so so nervous, you can't imagine lol😭 I was def shaking) His wife Joy is absolutely amazing and lovely!! She was the one to notice I wanted to talk to him and take a picture.

I didn't even recognize Mel at first because of his glasses and beard, I only approached him after the concert and he was sooooo sweet!!! I had already calmed down a bit and asked if I can shake his hand (Of course you can!, he answered in the nicest voice imaginable) We talked about the show and he asked where we are from etc. After telling him my age he told me I still had a bit of time left, since he joined ELO at 23 (I'm trying, Mel!!)

I'm still in disbelief I met them, but it was incredible🥺☺️
