Santanico still doesn’t return the statue to it’s proper place. She looks from it to the other items depicting her image. She let’s out a sigh. Why is she so revered? She doesn’t feel like something special. But, obviously she is for not only her own kind—-but humans as well. His compliments confuse her but also bring a small smile to her face.

“I see. But if your diosa is not what you want her to be? ”

He watched her for a moment. Brow raising at the question. He paused for a moment. How does he see la diosa? The one who he believes protects him, brings balance into his world. His shoulders shrugged slightly.

“We only know what the stories have told us. That she protects us, she brings the world back to balance when it has turned upside down. But, she may be very different. We don’t even know her real name, we believe it to be Kisa, but what do we know? We’re just looking for someone to protect us, señora, no more, no less.”
