Hi we're a group of 5 playing through curse of strahd! We wanted a place to put stuff relevant to our campaign of it

An all white sort of haunted look, but very shiny and opulent nonetheless. Like she traded in her spark to embrace the role of a beautiful thing. Blood drop jewelry replaces every notable piece she once wore, every piece that represented something important to her.
Five adventurers from the Lederă Valley, they were first united by a tragic eve in their past; but now by chance they have been reunited and driven to travel together in order to investigate the cause of an undead attack; an investigation which will lead them into the mist...
Willow, Cleric of the Grave
"All are welcome..."
A living, doll-like automaton, Willow's early memories are hazy. She can recall she was once a domestic servant; and she can recall a basement caving in on her.
Next thing she knew, she was in the wilderness. Wandering lost, she found a willow grove, with a ruined church and graveyard. They became her home, and she became its caretaker; and caretaker to anyone who wandered by. As a result she befriended a local group of travellers, the Keszi.
One late afternoon, she saw smoke on the horizon. Fire was coming, and she stayed at her church to protect it. Then, a knight with a severely noble man arrived, Willow healed him, and received aid from the knight in protecting the grove from the growing fire. The next morning, a pair of Keszi twins arrived, seeking shelter. She dutifully looked after allfour of her guests, offering them each guidance; and as the next week passed, they trickled out.
In the aftermath, people stopped coming to the church. It was a few years alone, watching over the church, before finally the Keszi twins returned, visiting the area looking for the rest of their group; then the next morning, the knight also came by, in the area looking for their father. She was thrilled to have guests, and made them a beautiful dinner.
One that was interrupted by an attack of the undead. The group beat them back, but the church suffered a lot of damage, and none of them knew what had caused the attack. Willow decided to investigate the matter, and the others followed her...
Matija Dragović, Paladin of Redemption
“What I remember from my past, is what it is like to hunger…”
Found as a toddler alone in the wilderness, Matija was taken in by an orphanage and raised there. They suffered bullying from many of their peers due to their albinism; and the matron of the orphanage did not protect them; instead instilling the idea that they had to be 'good' in order to get treated better. When out in the city, they'd follow around the knights that protected the valley, idealizing them; and in turn those knights were kind to them, many of them relating to the orphaned child.
When they were 12, they pursued a squire position with the knights. They had to compete in a trial out, a duel with another prospective squire. Matija, having no prior training, lost miserably, and ended up beating the other child into submission with their fists.
Afterwards, they were pulled aside and questioned by the knight-commander, Costel Dragović as to what their motive had been. They told him that they wanted nothing more than to serve their country and rise from their station in life, any life but that would not be worth living. Costel took pity on Matija, and took them on as his personal squire so he could keep an eye on them, and shape their devotion into a fine edge.
With training, they excelled. Within two years Matija was cleared to go on low risk patrols with Costel. They also were introduced to the prince, Andrei Munteanu. They did not get along well at first, thanks in large part due to his devil may care additude.
Two more years later and they were knighted. The evening of the elaborate ceremony was the first time they doubted the knights, and their rulers. Just how much gold had just been spent on frivolity, when they knew the other kids from their orphanage were going to bed hungry that same night?
They and Andrei bonded as they came to understand each other better, and see they both wanted what was best for the valley. Andrei promised them that their sunset years would be spent as his trusted advisor, and they swore to protect him.
Years later, they were on a regular patrol when they saw smoke rise from the slums of the city. They rushed to offer their aid in the neighbourhood, and found that their fellow knights had started the fire to burn out revolutionary forces apparently led by Andrei; who had killed the king. Matija couldn't believe it, and rushed to the palace to find Costel who was hunting Andrei. They thought they could talk sense into him.
When they arrived, they found Andrei and Costel locked in a duel, one Andrei was losing. They demanded the pair to both put down their weapons, and Andrei looked over to them with a look of sheer terror. Costel took the chance to cut down the prince, nearly killing him. With no other options to save Andrei, Matija struck down Costel while he was distracted trying to finish Andrei. They fled with Andrei, leaving Costel's fate unknown.
They ended up finding Willow's church.
They were the last to leave, having to be convinced to by Willow. Guilt was eating them alive, and they felt they had to repent; so they set out to become a champion against tyranny, going after would be warlords and aiding the oppressed.
Two years later, they returned to the valley to find out what happened to Costel, but visited Willow first, and found a chance to repay her kindness to them, following her quest.
Andrei Munteanu, Bard of Whispers
"I will make every sacrifice worth it, I must…”
Born the only heir to King Marius and Queen-consort Amalia Munteanu, of the Lederă Valley. His mother passed during his birth, and only thanks to a cleric did Andrei survive the experience himself. His father decided to give his son the world, it was the only thing that could begin to compare to the mother he had lost.
As such, he was absolutely spoiled as a child. He was kept from any strife in the kingdom for a long as possible, from the emptying coffers, to the court that looked hungrily at the throne meant for him one day.
When he got older, and more independent, he grew to hate the coddling he received. Andrei had realized that nobody took him seriously, at best they were humoring him; none of them looked at him and saw their future king, and he was desperate to change that. He begged his father endlessly for diplomacy and martial lessons, and eventually his father relented.
He took to his lessons well, pouring himself into them entirely. He wanted to build a legacy; to cement himself in history; his mother's sacrifice had to be remembered, had to be made worth it.
Soon he turned 16, and was introduced to Matija Dragovič. He set out to annoy them, trying to push away what he assumed would be another person trying to kiss up to him; instead, they stood their ground, and they said no to him. They were the first person to ever do so. For that, he quickly grew fond of them.
Confident in both his own martial skills, and that Matija would protect him if need be; his studies turned to the arcane, and intrigue. He studied under the royal spy master, a bard named Bianca. From her he learned how people could be manipulated like tools, how flattery could be used as an oil, and fear used as a bludgeon or blockage.
By human standards, he grew to be a man; though by his father and the courts elven standards he was hardly out of childhood. It frustrated him deeply, and so did the sinking realization that as things traditionally went, it would be centuries before he ruled. He could see so many things that needed to be changed about the valley: They lacked schooling for magic, they lacked great inventors, they lacked artists to create new culture. Everything was stuck.
Andrei began to press his father for an agreement to abdicate once Andrei turned 100. An action that made things at the palace rather tense. A lot of his freetime ended up being spent in the knights area with Matija, where the two bonded further.
It took seven years, but his dad finally relented to the agreement. Andrei went out to celebrate the afternoon, going on a tavern crawl like no other. About two hours into it, as he was getting a refill of his beer, people burst into the tavern screaming about the city being on fire and the prince starting a revolt. This was news to Prince Andrei.
He quickly picked up the fact he was being framed, he was tempted to flee, but decides against it due to concern for his father and for Matija. He sped out of the tavern and to the palace to find his father, dodging the chaos on the streets.
When he arrived, he was met by Costel, who accused him of killing his father and drew his sword on Andrei. Andrei tried to argue for himself to no avail before having to draw his own sword to block Costel's blows. The two became locked in combat, combat which Andrei was losing badly, relying on dirty tricks to hold back death.
Suddenly, he heard Matija, and turned to look at them. That was when he felt a sword pierce his flesh, nearly going through his heart. He last saw Costel ready to stab down into him, and Matija behind him. When he came back to, he was on a horse with Matija using what little magic they had to keep him somewhat stable. They rode until stumbling into a church, where the cleric saved his life.
His entire world having been shattered, Andrei, hardly able to cope, focused on finding his father's real killer and clearing his own name. He regretfully had to leave Matija behind.
He spent the next two years in every shady backroom in every nearby country, chasing down any lead he could. They were all dead ends, a fact he pondered over a beer when a group of four entered the tavern: Matija, and the others he had met at the church. He was happy to catch up with them all, Matija especially. So when Matija pointed out he owed Willow, and that the group could use help, he reluctantly agreed, and joined them...
Lela Kóbor, Order of the Scribe witch
"I've seen things beyond this place..."
One of two twins born of an out of group trist her mother - Miriam - had, Lela was the one to take after the pairs mom. Inheriting her magic, and her role within the Keszi - a group of travellers, often ill received. From her birth, Lela was visibly different, cursed. The stains on her hands, and her violet eyes gave it away. She was shunned for this, seen as a bad omen or even a threat to the rest of the community. The only two she took solace in was her mom, and her twin brother Moti.
She was taught by her mom in the art of magic, and the preservation of the Keszi's old magic. Her mom told her that they were protectors of the community, a fact Lela took seriously, but felt bitter about. It didn't help that she always had hunches about when things would go wrong, but never could name them before the event transpired.
When she was a teen, Miriam left the Keszi, claiming to have important work to do elsewhere. Lela was heartbroken, and tried to justify it to herself. Tried everything to not think her mom had abandoned her. She still had Moti, even as he tried to harden his gentle nature, the two remained thick as thieves.
Now the sole witch of the community, she was actually able to start building a bridge to the rest of the community who saw that she was less flakey than her mother had been. They still feared her, but took her wisdom seriously, and tried to respect her. It wasn't the live she craved, but it was better than it was before.
As a young woman, she was going about a normal day, stomach sick with dread, and troubled her brother was in town. A feeling proven appropriate when a group of the Knight Order attacked the Keszi camp, trying to kill everyone. She stayed as long as she could to help some of the children flee, then fled towards town to find Moti.
She spent hours lurking among the trees trying to find any sign of him, increasingly distraught he may have been dead. As dawn began to break, she heard shouting, it was Moti. The two tearfully reunited, and decided to go to the only priestess who served the Keszi in the area, hoping to find more of their group.
Arriving at the church, the pair found Willow, a member of the Knight Order, and the crowned prince. Lela, tore into the pair for their compliancy in what had happened, only stopping when she learned Matija had tried to stop the chaos, and Andrei nearly was killed by the Knight Order too. She was still bitter, but recognized there were better uses for her energy.
She and Moti set out together, spending the next two years looking for any other surviving Keszi, or their mother. Eventually, with few leads, they returned to Lederă Valley in case the Keszi had returned there, starting at Willow's grove, a terrible feeling in her stomach...
Motshan Kóbor, the fighting Rune Knight
"Whatever it takes to help her..."
One of two twins born of an out of group trist her mother - Miriam - had, Moti lacked his mother's magic, and his sisters curse. All together, he was rather unremarkable compared to his daring traveller mom, and his mysterious and tormented sister; and while he didn't feel as though he belonged among his family, he felt just as different among the other Keszi, unable to relate to their fear of magic.
As a result, when he wasn't acting as a bridge between a lot of the Keszi and his mom and sister, he spent a lot of time alone. He liked to try to build things, and was fascinated by herbalism. He tried to charm the herbalist of the group, Miss Darklis to take him on as an apprentice; and when that failed he tried showing up for two weeks straight, bringing her ingredients he had forged for her. She finally agreed.
His focus quickly went to the scientific, and magical side of herbalism; and it became clear to Miss Darklis that he was best suited to be an alchemist. The Keszi had very few resources to foster something like that, but Darklis tried her best. Moti managed to pick up a few things, but only just a few. There was simply no more he could learn without research materials or components to experiment with.
Three years into his apprenticeship, he and Darklis ended up lost while on a foraging trip, and got close to town. They had the unfortune to be in the area as the local knights looked for a thief. The pair were assumed to be the criminals at large, and dragged into the middle of the street where they were horrifically beat. Moti lost his last baby tooth. Darklis lost an eye, and a still growing babe. Moti was the one who had to drag them both to the shelter of a friendly farming family as night fell.
When he returned to camp, he was a changed boy. Haunted. He never wanted to watch someone suffer, and be powerless to stop it, again.
He begun to watch the older boys and men when they sparred, practicing their bare knuckle boxing. He tried coping their moves on trees and bales of hay. Then, he started to participate in them. He was decent at it, and it got him thinking about how he could best fight.
Going between his continuing lessons with Darklis, the boxing, and watching his sister learning magic; it clicked. If he could harness just a little bit of magic, he could stretch it into something he could make a lot of use of in his martial combat.
He went headfirst injury studying the books his mom had, learning magical symbols and finding which ones could be harnessed; and then learning craftsmanship to make sure he could embedd these symbols into whatever he'd need to. Every artisan in the Kezi got to know him, very well.
Occasionally he'd do favors for them, such as going into town to sell some of their goods to local shops. They tended to give him a slightly better price thanks to his half elf side, though still not as much as the goods were worth.
He was on one of those trips when he heard a commotion down the road, and saw the Knight Order riding through the streets, declaring martial law. He joined others in throwing things at them, which quickly turned to a violent brawl, in which Moti was knocked out. When he woke up, it was the middle of the night, and he was choking on smoke. Dazed he wandered back to the Keszi camp, only to find many of them were dead. He found no sign of his sister. The next several hours were an increasingly frantic search for her, until finally, he spotted her. Since that moment, he's refused to separate from her. And he won't, even as the most swallow them both...
