discordiancompanion:
"Tch." Thank you ever so much, Dad. Nice to know how you really feel.
"No…It’s just..blech." She really didn’t know how to put it in words. It was the little things that had made the trip take on a rather sour note with her. Everything from Ares getting a bit too involves with the fighting, trying to select the correct choice of action to fit within the small amount of time they had to work with, and the dull bickering amongst one another made the trip one she was glad to get over with. She found it rather odd that she and Ares were clashing more than usual. Maybe they were just spending too much time together? "Welp, it’s over so the only thing to do now is get back on track of my normal routine."
"Well that’s some luck. All of us together in one big city…" Code for: Look me in the eyes and tell me with wholehearted honesty that I shouldn’t worry about what’s going to come of this. "Eh, it’s alright, I guess. There’s so many people here that I have more than enough little lambs to test on~ But after awhile they’re starting to gain some wit. Well, the residents are, not the hoards of visitors though."
Well, how was he supposed to respond to that? Generally, in a polite conversation instilled with sarcasm, you snark back. Not make a weird noise and ignore it. But whatever. She didn't seem up to it, so he backed off.
"Blech? That's how you describe it?" An eyebrow raised at her statement, but he said nothing else until she decided to. Her silence was there for a reason, so Erebus didn't speak and waited for her to continue.  And let her continue he did, only to be disappointed by her not explaining.  Well, that was Eris for you.  A frustrating child that didn’t explain her case, when she really should.  Better continue, then...
“Not trying to sound condescending, but honestly, when have you ever held a normal routine?  I thought it wasn’t in your nature to stay consistent.”  Well, he spoke the truth...
Luck.  She blamed luck.  That almost put a smile on Erebus’ face.  Right, luck had a part to play in that they were all in the same town.  It wasn’t like he could see everything at all times and knew where everyone was, that wasn’t the case at all.
“Yes, that definitely is some luck.” He tried so hard not to let sarcasm slip into that, but there was still just a hint of it.  “Just as it’s luck that no one’s figured out that you’re a god.  How’d you manage that?”  Eris was Eris, that much hadn’t changed.  That was at least one thing Erebus was glad for.  She remained the little ball of terror she always was.  Thank Chaos for that.
