Cordelia rested by the counter as she waited for the popcorn to finish up. She was actually looking forward to this! After all the troubles and headaches she’s gotten from attempting to bring the other kingdoms under her thumb, Cordelia needs a break with her favorite henchman. It’ll be a fun little thing to do. Truth be told too, she’d prefer it if it were just her and Peridot. Despite his power Cordelia is growing to not enjoy the Nightmare Knight as much as she first thought.
“My apologizes. Most of what’s in there is probably for me.” A slightly awkward chuckle emerges. Let’s hope Peridot never decides to take a drink from one of her bottles. Probably wouldn’t be a bad idea to inform the staff to move all of it.
“I’ll get them to change it and put more exciting things in later.” The final pop of popcorn went off and Cordelia carefully placed the contents in a bowl. “Extra butter or no?”
Was that even a question...? Peridot excitably beams, whips her head around so quickly you could swear she’d get whiplash.
“Uh-huh, uh-huh! You know it.”
“We can put it in the big bowl and share it in the middle!!” She’s already been distracted enough now to forget about her discontent with the fridge. She only really has the energy to pay so much attention to one thing at a time.
“Oh, oh!! I think they might be doing a movie soon, by the way...they haven’t said it? But there have been some pretty convincing leaks...” She’s just rambling now, turned her own direction as she starts toward the kitchen doorway. Peridot assumes Cordelia is listening, fully engaged with what she’s saying, but considering that she’s talking a mile a minute, it’s more likely that all she could afford to do was nod supportively. Peridot doesn’t mind much either way, as long as she feels paid attention to.
