QL Buildings - Barn Upgrade Progress

A glimpse of a dream

Long time no see! I'm still working on Sugarplum Cafe, but it's very hard to create a thing + post about the thing you are creating at the same time.

From time to time I need a break from game development so I'll be sharing some art I've made during those breaks! Starting with Lady Milk Chocolate, Lady Vanilla, and a pair of sugar spoons. 

I was testing out some new techniques to see if I'd want to redraw the game in this faux-traditional style, and as much as I love the look, it took a long time to draw like this. I've gotten faster since then though, so there's a non-zero chance...!

I'm getting ahead of myself here but I'd love to have enough one-off Sugarplum illustrations for an artbook someday!

Finished the geese/ducks/ospreys and beavers/otters habitats (courtesy of Em with their amazing animal mods) and I'm so proud of the second one especially. My best creation yet.

Congratulations Tonda Ros on your BAFTA win for Blue Prince, it couldn't have gone to a better game.

Truly someone who gives a fuck about their craft, you can tell a lot of love went into Blue Prince.

ive played over 100 hours of it and I still havent solved everything. I find myself just spending time in the house just for the sake of it, opening useless rooms just to listen to the music.

My game of the year last year and easily in my top 3 games of all time.

Possible spoilers for Blue Prince! (this is a game where each piece of information about it is a spoiler...)

I've spent an entire week (in in-game time) by navigating Simon through the inherited mansion, and I thought it would be a great idea to post my progress. Want to make a thread: new in-game week - new post!

What I've accomplished (aside from unlocked rooms you can see):

- opened Apple Orchard

- opened West Gate path

- lit one blue fire on the balcony outside

- collected seven stars

- heard the first prophecy from the great Alzara

- read some newspaper clippings from the Archives for the first time

- made six wishes (with a coin and a fountain) in six days - out of seven. I'm trying to toss a coin into the fountain each day! But one day was unlucky :(
