After some of the reveals in episode 8, it turns out Caine was kinder than we ever thought he was

Let me explain:

You’re probably like WHAT THIS WAS LITERALLY HIS VILLAIN ARC EPISODE HOW DID THIS REVEAL HE WAS KIND???

Again, just let me explain.

When Kinger first got the bucket put on his head and was saying “Actually, we weren’t trying to program a game at all, we were just developing creative AI” that reveals to us several things:

1: Caine was not meant to be the ringmaster of a child’s game, unlike we had all assumed before.

2: Censorship of cursing and sex was not programmed into him, unlike we had all assumed before.

3: The attempts to keep the humans from going insane via the daily adventures was absolutely not required by his code at all, unlike we had all assumed before.

4: Caine’s friendliness towards the humans (healing them after every adventure, being cheerful towards them, trying to entertain them so they wouldn’t go insane, trying to solve their problems even though he’s misguided, etc.) was not programmed into him, unlike we had all assumed before

5: He had no obligation to be nice to the humans at all, there was no requirement by his program to be kind, unlike we had all assumed before

Because of all those things… Caine was just a genuinely nice person. Before, it seemed like he was motivated by his programming to be nice, but if he wasn’t meant to be the host of a child’s game at all and was instead just an unfinished AI thrown in the garbage bin, then…

Caine chose to be kind.

He chose the ringmaster persona, he chose to help the humans and keep them from abstracting in the only ways he knew how, he chose to do his absolute best to keep them happy even when his best efforts never seemed to work, he chose again and again to treat them well even when there was absolutely no reason to do so.

He must’ve loved humans so, so much.

And all that good will, all that hard work, it was always thrown back in his face.

Honestly, I understand why it broke his heart after so many years of his efforts being stomped on by the beings he loved so dearly. Hurt people hurt people.

I can't help but see the way Caine got deleted as a sort of analogy to how he treated NPCs that he created.

A lot of NPCs are sapient and capable of having free will. And yet Caine keeps treating them like tools that can be reshuffled, reused or thrown away once they stop being useful.

Which is so ironic because this is exactly how he was treated as an AI program and also why he holds so much resentment. And yet he just can't see the parallel there.

And once he realises what's about to happen, this mighty AI god begs for more time, for a second thought. But no. Useless programs are deleted. He has done it countless times.

So why should his case be any different?

small doodle of what I think Cain and Abel could’ve looked like (pre-circus). I know that they TECHNICALLY wouldn’t have avatars at that point in time, but I like to think they did.

I like to think that after Cain consumed Abel, he obtained some of his features alongside his code. Like, Abel’s blue eye. You can’t really tell in this drawing, since cain’s mouth is closed, But he doesn’t have eyes here!!

I tried to make them both have outfits similar to Pomni and Kaufmo.

Not a fan of how this looks, so I might remake it later!

Day 24 of waiting for TOTTMNT to get Uncanceled. Point Grey's Mikey

SEASON 1 SPOILERS

In my opinion, the Point Grey Michelangelo is one of the most emotionally and morally mature versions of Mikey, I genuinely think he could become a great leader if he chose to

In Season 1, Mikey would face a challenge that would put his life at risk, he would fight the Mechazoid and “transfer his blood” to Rod in exchange for calling his dad. Even though he didn’t want to at first, essentially accepting Rod’s proposal for the money Rod you fucking manipulator

Even so, in that episode Mikey truly showed that his actions were driven by noble intentions, he was patient with Rod and empathetic toward Pigeon Pete, Mikey consistently demonstrates deep compassion and empathy toward mutants not only in this episode

He didn’t allow Pete to be harmed, nor did he let him spiral out of control, the fact that Mikey calmed and protected Pete says a lot about who he really is. He protects the most vulnerable and chooses to do the right thing, even when his own life is at risk and the situation is unstable

In the second arc, Mikey would face one of the most stressful situations someone could experience, being in an environment completely against him while also having to protect innocent people who could easily die from a single mistake

Mikey clearly didn’t want to fight Lee and did everything he could to avoid fighting her, that only made the situation more complex and turbulent, until, under immense pressure, Mikey chose to make a quick decision and fully risk himself on his own plan, taking charge of the situation

We can conclude that Mikey is genuinely what a hero is meant to be. Despite wanting a normal life and trying to maintain it, it’s obvious he would never hesitate to risk himself for the most vulnerable

We all deserve to live in peace, even if it requires sacrifice and facing intense moments, stay strong

There’s a little bit of Mikey in all of us

Canon-ish(!) Stephanie doodle post black mask torture.

I hate how in canon her torture and the whole war games arc is kinda just glossed over/retconned out of existence. I refuse to draw Stephanie(post war games) without scars bcuz wdym she was tortured for hours on end and doesn’t have a single mark???

I’ve been trying to practice changing up my style a little. (Hence why this doodle looks pretty different than my regular style)

I like how this turned out! Also my drawing pencil for my tablet broke so I haven’t been able to draw digitally outside of ibis paint. 😭😭
