After some time, alarms started going off in the council building.
"Shit!" Solara cursed angrily. Finding the person Shandy mentioned was proving to be far more difficult than she had imagined, and the constant chattering of raccoons all around was doing her withering patience no favours.
If only they would all just shut up so she could concentrate...
If only they were all JUST GONE!
"No, shut up!" Solara yelled to no one but herself. "I don't have time for you right now. She might be in trouble, and I'm not going to let her down again!" Bitter tears fell from her face and burnt the ground below as she turned mid-air towards the council building.
"Just let me save her." She again pleaded with no one but herself. "It's time to be the hero."
She felt a surge of energy flow through her, like nothing she had felt before. And yet, somehow, there was something a little familiar about it.
Melancholic, in a way.
"Thank you." She whispered to no one, before she sped off. The air around her pulsed, and it was several moments later before she registered the small sonic boom, a sound just loud enough to silence one last whisper.
"Don't thank me yet. Just do your job."
Not far away, something crashed. More clanging sounded, and then footsteps running away before it went almost silent.
Such a peaceful near silence was interrupted as Solara burst into the building, her expression determined and furious. Energy charged within her hands as she floated just above the floor.
"Hello?" She called out. Hesitantly, she floated around the building carefully, hoping to find any sign of either Shandy or the one she described. She couldn't be sure whether the alarm was intentional or not, after all.
She went swiftly to follow the faint sound of footsteps she had managed to catch as she entered.
The hint of black hair could be seen of something rushed through and crashed through the window, running out of the building. Money and other paper fluttered in wake of the movement, leaving a trail.
"So this is all an elaborate robbery." Solara sighed. She swiftly followed the trail, eager to catch the one responsible for all this chaos.
"Get back here, thief!" She called out in pursuit.
Orca continued to run, heaving. She splashed some kind of water on her head as she kept running, trying to lose Solara.
Solara remained relentless in her pursuit of the thief, remaining hot on her heels no matter where the thief tried to run.
"Alright, we tried the nice way." She grunted. She raised a hand and fired off a sharp blast directly towards the legs of the thief, aiming to force them to stop running. At the same time, she accelerated to better match the thief's pace.
She wasn't about to let them escape, no matter what it would take.
Orca tripped, a fin appearing on their back as they stumbled but didnât fall- continuing to run.
"Alright, that's it!" Solara yelled, accelerating even faster. Pushing herself, she moved in front of where the thief was running and fired a blast directly at them.
If she was lucky, they would fall over, whereupon she would grab them to stop them from moving further.
Orca fell over, crashing into the ground with a garbled curse.
Wasting no time, Solara quickly grabbed the thief and restrained them. With her superhuman strength it was easy to pick them up and trap them.
"Gotcha!" She cheered. "There's easier ways to get money, you know. Next time, maybe try just a food stall or something."
She channeled some energy through her ear, triggering an earpiece that was hidden within her starry form.
"Shandy?" She spoke and knew the device she had given her friend would hear her. "I've caught them. Whoever they were, they were pulling a robbery. We're not far from the council building."

âGreat! Uh- anyway you can recover the documents and other paperwork? The money would be nice too but itâs not nearly as important.â
"No problem!" Solara replied happily. She flew into the air and grabbed as much of the paperwork as it was possible for her to carry, which given her superhuman strength was basically all of it. All whilst at the same time dragging around Orca.
Once she was done, she returned to the council building and found Shandy, dropping the thief at her feet as she entered the room.
"Here you go, one collection of paperwork and one mean thief! All in a day's work." Solara grinned, puffing her chest out a little as she handed Shandy the paperwork.

Shandy smiled gratefully. âThank you so much, Solara! Uh- if you wouldnât mind putting them in one of our aquatic cells? I think a good portion of our force was, uh, transformed. Weâll have to deal with them later.â
"No need to thank me, it's what I do!" Solara replied, even though she was clearly beaming from just the simple act of being thanked. She picked Orca back up.
"Alright, let's get you to a nice aquatic cell, where you can swim around and think about all you've done." She said, before turning and walking away. She waved at Shandy as she left to go find a free cell.
"See you, Shandy! If anything else happens, just shout and I'll be there." She called out as she left.
âGood-bye!â And so, she began to work on relief efforts to help everyone recover from the event.
