   she doesn’t completely understand. before malachi, the only true relationship she’s shared is the familial bond she found with terminator model who both saved, and raised her. pops, as she affectionately dubbed him when she was a young girl. for all sarah has known, it’s exactly what he’s been to her: a father. strange to think that this new relationship she’s formed is with yet another not completely human sentient...and somehow, it’s just as significant...but in a very different way. she won’t admit how terrifying it is, and not just because of what she’s come to learn about regen and its possible connection to skynet.

    exhaling breath as she feels the touch of his hand against her skin, her eyes close for a short second before they’re meeting his gaze. her own hand remains against the rugged topography of his face, studying him in the light before her lips turn up only minuscule as if to convince him of the answer he’s about to receive.

 “ yeah, mal. we’re okay. ” she echos in response, though in her mind she’s not so sure. she knows they’re only okay until they’re not, that the state of things can and likely will shift in an instant. sarah tries not to consider the ever-present weight on her shoulders, but there’s a degree of difficulty: after all, she knows they’re never truly safe. she knows she can never let her guard down for long. that’s how mistakes get made, after all. there’s no margin for error. one slip and it could mean her life. or his.

   the question which follows surprises even herself, and it certainly hadn’t escaped her mouth with premeditation. of course she’s considered it before, but she’s never voiced it to another. she’s never made it clear that she’s not sure. “ you ever wonder if this is all worth it? “

CAN YOU BELIEVE IT’S BEEN TWO YEARS? 

I don’t remember the exact context of how we first met (was it that plot with Cathy that we never got far on because Kate and Henry consumed our lives???) but I do know how happy I am that even when we disappear off of the face of the planet, we always seem to find each other! I also know that we will never let that happen again because now we have more than Tumblr to fall back on!

*cue the Golden Girls theme song* Thank you for being a great friend over these past couple of years and for understanding my weird quirks or when I need to randomly rant/vent about stupid roleplay things. Maybe this year I will finally try Sweet Potato Pie? Because I still haven’t tried it, whoops. I love going back and reading all of our little things, both OOC and IC and I can tell you that I truly cherish our friendship - even if i’m, at times, bad at it.

just finished watching she loves me for the thousandth time and it only makes me want to write sadie even more. honestly, it’s brought my boy aaron out a little bit, too. I love my children. even if i’ve been neglectful.
