An exhausted sigh fell from the line of Felicity’s lips as she threw her bags down, next to the bench. Lately, Felicity had become so engrossed in her favorite author’s new novel, which had just been released days ago. Whenever she had a moment’s peace, she tried to get in a chapter or at least a few pages. During break, her coworkers liked to go to lunch , but a lot of times Felicity declined their offer, and spent her hour outside sitting in this very spot. It was peaceful and stopped her mind from wandering to her lethal thoughts.
Felicity had never made friends very easily, instead kept to herself and would much rather become lost in a good story. If it weren’t for her mental health advocacy and her patients, she may have gone into storytelling at some point, but she loved what she did and wouldn’t change it for anything. To her surprise, she heard someone approaching and immediately lifted her gaze up from the book. “ Oh god, do you need a seat?” Felicity began moving her belongings hastily. “ Look at me just spreading out like this. I’m so sorry” With the words leaving her lips, a small smile crept between the corners of her mouth.
