So when R. Kelly makes an album/hip-hop opera movie thing… we all laugh. I mean… he was so proud of that long winded 4 chord steaming turd. It was like a bad jerry springer episode of people dying and coming back to life… all the while midgets are hiding in and out of the closet with guns and rubbers. And the commentary - No really - if you haven’t see the commentary, you have to. It’s hilarious. R. Kelly sits in front of the screen patting himself on the back and states the obvious while smoking a cigar. It’s so bad it’s brilliant.  But when Kanye does it. I fucking bow down. Yes, at times, humility might bring a different level of depth to his art, but to be honest… I don’t care how big his overinflated ego is. I don’t care about the media drama with Taylor Swift and the rest of crybaby white America. I certainly don’t care about him saying that George Bush doesn’t care about black people because it’s true. Look, Kanye is a growing artist and should be unapologetic to the haters. If his ego was smaller, we wouldn’t get an (album long) music video mashup that has suns crashing into the earth, bambi, naked half-demon/half-angelbird hotties with cocaine fingernails, and firework-laden memorials of Michael Jackson. I’m just saying… If Kanye West invites you to jump down the rabbit hole and join him at an all white dinner party where he stands on pianos and plays 5 notes for ballerinas dancing in black - you go. Too Much  

Today’s daily video is a hilariously awesome rendition of Sufjan’s new song, “Too Much” on the new Jimmy Fallon show. As a fan of Sufjan’s, I can’t stop listening to his new record, “The Age of Adz.” It sounds like a demented space pop musical. One of the songs is even 25 minutes long!! I can almost hear the band meeting before the show. The drummer asks, “What should we wear?” Sufjan probably mumbles something about the band’s new aesthetic, saying… “Let’s just put Bjork in a neon blender with burning man band aids, and add a pinch of Brooklyn.”  He’s such a maniacal genius. Btw, Great job on the choreography guys! Sarcastic and hilarious!

Found some boxes

So… I found some priority mail boxes (about 50 of them) in pristine condition in the hallway of my apartment building. I took them back to the post office to try and sell them.

Conversation went like this –

Vince: I have these extra boxes that I want to sell back to you. Post office clerk: sell back? Vince: Yeah, I figured I’d save you guys a little money on inventory. Post office clerk: How are you going to sell back something that’s free? After laughing at me for trying to sell free boxes, he showed me where I can go and get more if I like. He also told me that they will even deliver them to my house if I request it.
