“So, um,” Sojung began, trying to navigate this chaos – whichit definitely was, she practically had a heart attack and visited theafterlife, or so it had felt. “What are you doing here? Not that I’m not okay withyou coming by or anything but…” Still, she fumbled with the conversation andturned redder by several margins. Gods, why can’t she just be normal withWheein? Was it so hard for her to not be awkward? “Yeah…was there somethingyou need? I kinda panicked and didn’t catch what you said.” She admits, hermouth curling into a sheepish, but awkward, smile.
Relief washes over her like a waterfall and she fights the smile threatening to show itself on her face when it is proven that Sojung and her are on the same page regarding their past. It was good to know that she wasn't the only one who still kept their memories like this, and a foreign feeling crept up her heart. They weren't supposed to be doing this, were they? Keeping their memories of each other, of them, even after having broken up. At least for Wheein this was her first time still holdingonto the memories of their past relationship, quite literally. During pastbreak ups she had also let go of anything that reminded her of her ex, butSojung was quite the different case. Ever since Wheein met her, the brunette had always proven to be the exception to everything.
Feeling a little awkward all of a sudden as the memories once again begins flooding back, she clears her throat and shifts the weight on her feet from one to the other. Blinking her eyes a few times, she brings a hand up next to her face to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear. No one speaks for a little while and silences between them used to be comforting, warm, but now she detects a little awkwardness in it, a sense of uncertainty. Wheein was hoping that they could overcome this awkwardness that she had felt for the first time in a long time with the other female, and that they could go back to being friends. She still held onto the hope and belief that they could, but the million dollar question was: did Sojung still want to be friends with her? The fact that she still kept the box full of their memories could be a good sign, so Wheein takes it as such.
She looks over at Sojung with a shy smile, the words spoken by the other makes her feel warm and a little giddy inside as she looks at the content of the box again. Softness melts her expression and she looks up at Sojung again, just in time to hear a confession that she knows alltoo well. Pink dusts her cheeks with colors and she nods knowingly. "I...thought the same," she confesses too, feeling a little lighter in her heart and mind already. A small laughter bubbles past her lips then, at them and the current situation, not mockingly just in good fun. It was amusing really, how they could go from being so close to becoming strangers.
Upon the mention of the purpose of her visit, her expression becomes that of realization and she puts the box she held in her hand back in its place. "That's right, I, uh..." she takes off her backpack and places it on the ground as she squats down to its level. "You forgot your notes," she begins explaining as she rummages through her backpack, looking for said notes, "so I thought I'd bring them to you." Her reason for coming to see Sojung was fairly straightforward, yet at the same time she had thought of using the notes as an excuse to see her ex again. She wasn't sure if the brunette would've been willing to let her in if she didn't have a reason to be her other than the fact that she just wanted to see her again. Finally finding the papers, she stands up again and steps closer to the other, the notes held out in front of her. "Here you go."
