here I will be blogging. oh, yes. it's true.

I intend to start using this account for my more personal thoughts and less refined works. this will likely encompass: sketches and concepts, informal art lessons, oc art and lore, media and pop culture musings, and my less refined or marketable fanworks.

my agenda... is to use social media in a way that works for me. I'm so over trying to utilize every platform in the same way, or trying to niche down, or whatever. tumblr is for nonsense and bullshitting, so that's what I'm gonna use it for.

I recently got rid of all ryan's tattoos that were associated with other characters (roleplayed by other people) because one, it gets annoying when I draw her at different points in her life where she wouldn't have the tattoo yet cuz she doesn't know that person at the time or in that universe,

but more importantly, because defining her by who she loves isn't as cute to me as it used to be. her body should be a canvas of self love. I might want to give her ONE tattoo that represents her ex ace, because he is my character so his presence will always be there, but also, I'm into the symbolism of her old designs being branded by her past relationships. it's a meta commentary on me and ryan both putting the other before the self, thinking it was an expression of love, but it wasn't really

I can think of some pretty cool designs for an ace tattoo, too. probably likely to be a diamond suit card... I could also make it a shitty tattoo with an obvious cover up where the diamond is replaced by a heart. yes yes I'm cooking...

here's her tattoos now btw! I still wanna add more, besides the ace one, but it's artfight season so I paused the crusade to kick some ass

she's definitely gonna get a set of tattoos on the back of her calves. I really like the designs of koko the clown and his ghost form from that betty boop cartoon but I'm ALSO into her having the pulp fiction dance or the steps to the time warp back there as well. we'll see........

I know I don't share art of my oc ryan much because I'm very fiercely protective of her and what she means to me, and what she means as a character in general, but she's also basically all I care about as an artistic muse and everyone who has ever seen her adores her so I should share her more
