I want to hear from you! The greatest tool we are ever given is our testimony. The Lord radically changes our lives so we can share them in our community. Quickly learning the value of deep rooted in Jesus friendships. I starve for the raw authenticity of a true friend to share my life with. Every time I encounter another “surface friendship” I find myself heartbroken and searching for more. It hurts when you realize that someone isn’t who they thought they were or that your relationship was mostly one sided. Lately I’ve been blessed to know some beautiful people and I’m so grateful that the Lord has heard my cry. I’m thankful to have found such wonderful friendships and can’t wait to see how the Lord grows them to advance his kingdom.

When I first started this blog I was “just starting” about a million different things. I didn’t plan on being successful and truthfully I didn’t even plan on people reading my content. All I was doing was listening to that little voice inside me telling me “just do it”. • When I started this blog a year ago I had just gotten engaged and started planning a wedding. I was looking at moving. Just started a new job. And I was at the beginning of “restarting” my health journey. • From this point I’ve managed to marry, move, settle in to married life and the home we’re still building, change careers AGAIN, and devote more attention here. • I’m still amazed by some of the testimonies you all have shared with me about how my posts have affected your life. What started as an outlet to talk about “hot topics” turned into a platform to generate and build meaningful relationships and influence. • My advice is that no matter how small you have to start, know that God has a bigger purpose. So just start. Start small and dream big. In just two weeks from tomorrow I will be tagging along with my husband on a trip to LA, California!! He will be attending a church conference to help learn some ways to improve with our church and while he’s at the conference I will be experiencing LA and writing away. I can’t wait to see what kind of creativity births out of this trip and to spend some more time focused on my writing! Eek! 2018 is going to be a year of adventures!

My husband and I went away for a staff retreat with his work (our church staff) this week and when we returned there was a gift anonymously left for ME on HIS desk 😱. What? How sweet to know not only that my blog is being read and reaching people but that it’s liked, enjoyed, and encouraged. Whoever left this beautiful and thoughtful gift to me, thank you. Thank you for your support and for believing in me and this blog. Honestly my readers are one of my big motivators to keep going and this encouraging gift could not have come at a more perfect time. So 2018 so far for me has consisted of choices. Choices that hold consequences and many of those said consequences have been life altering. I’ve been going a lot of soul searching and changing myself from the inside out. From changing my eating habits, to changing my focus, spending more time in God’s word, spending more quality time with my husband, and making myself more healthy in all areas of my life. I’m doing this study trying to figure out what on earth am I here for? What is my purpose? What am I called to do? What does God have planned for me... Today I was encouraged to think about all that God has taught me through my failure, lack of money, pain and depression, waiting, illness, disappointment, and through the community which He has placed me in? What has he taught me? What has he wanted me to know through this? What have I learned? Now I urge you to ask yourself these same questions. What has God taught you through these times? What have you learned? What have you been able to take from your hard times and struggles?
