“Someone mind explainin’ to the Kindred Hunter that a baby Tigrex as a pet is a terrible idea?”
Off the record, what's your favorite monster?
(( Gigginox! I like everything about it: the design, the fight, the weapons, and the armor! And Giggis are adorable!
Runners-up include Zamtrios, Kushala Daora, Seltas Queen, and Diablos. ))
(( Added some more stuff to the About page.
The MH world in a nutshell: THERE ARE MONSTERS OUT THERE GO KILL ‘EM. ))
❝NO.❞ THAT’S it, that’s all the little bugger’s going to say—
(Not that he actually understands the older one’s words—)
“All right, all right,” the Caravaneer soothes, holding up his palms, “Don’t bite my head off! Got plenty of other things that want to do that already!”
He shifts a leg over the bench so he can better face Link. Has he seen that green garb before?
...nah. Probably not. Hunter fashion is terribly fickle.
“Well then, if ya aren’t a Hunter, what brings ya here, kiddo?”
Is monster hunter rp a thing on tumblr? Or is it just you? Other canons? Other games? OC's?
(( As far as I am aware, I’m the only one :’3
Everyone is more than welcome to RP with me if they’d like to! ))

“All due respect, kid, but aren’t ya a little young fer a Hunter? Or is that a toy sword?”
Yian Kut-Ku, ready to teach you the ropes once again in MH4U.
Using its large beak, the Yian Kut-Ku can scoop out chunks of dirt searching for delicious insects called Konchu. And when it is weakened (AKA almost dead and ready to be captured), Yian Kut-Ku will not only try to limp away, but it will also lower its ears, making it super obvious of its condition.

When the tents came into view— a better view, anyways— a man came running out of them like a chicken with it’s head cut off. “Took ‘em long enough,” the barbarian slurred. Alaric found his hand resting upon the heavy head of the axe by his side, ready to draw and destroy, should the need arise. The need did, more often than not.
But as the man fumbled and bungled with his coat pockets, Alaric realized there would be no need for bloodshed. Killers practice the motions in their heads; they don’t shimmy with drips of alcohol still wet on their face and clothes unless you take them by ambush. His chiseled hand slipped from the head of his axe, once again loose at his side. God, was he hot.
"Ain’t no rest for th’ wicked," the barbarian’s dried baritone quipped in reply. "Whatever yer lookin’ for, don’t trouble yerself. Sun’s ‘bout good at killin’ me as anythin’ else, an’ I reckon I ain’t dead." He scoffs, making a face underneath his visor. "Guess that means th’ sun sucks cock, what it do." What th’ fuck are ye talkin’ ‘bout? a muffled voice hisses in his mind, but he regards it with little energy. "Jus’ take me somewhere cool an’ I’ll be right as rain. Rain’d be nice, too, ‘f ye got it."
What the fuck is he talking about? a voice in the back of his head asks, but he ignores it. The sun has definitely done a number on this poor fellow. Brains as fried as eggs, most likely. Well, best to get 'em inside before the Cephalos pick up the scent of omelet.
Where's the Felyne cart when you need it?
"Hold tight, partner," the Caravaneer says. There it is. It's not a Potion, but he has the feeling beer -- cold beer, no less -- will do just as much good. He pops the cap before pressing the bottle into Alaric's limp hand. "Just a bit further. Y'can do that fer me, can't ya?"
These must be names of creatures, because once again the magic that typically educates Laurentius, willing or no, on the local dialect has apparently failed him. He tries to keep the blank expression off of his face as much as he can (masking it, perhaps, with the sip of his drink,) but frank confusion shows up once or twice before he catches up enough to at least piece the general meaning together.
"Ah, well, I, ah," he says, trying to happen upon a method of explaining himself. He’s never sure, in these new places, whether or not they know much of other realms running concurrently to their own; the difficulty is compounded by the fact that Laurentius doesn’t quite comprehend the concept himself. And do they perform magic here? Would they react well to someone who did? His own kinsmen, strictly speaking, didn’t like pyromancy—he could never be certain how new people would feel about it, either.
"My axe and I have been through quite a bit," he manages, finally. "And I know a trick or two."
One does not cross dimensions and live to tell the tale without a fair bit of diplomatic aptitude, however, and so Laurentius attempts to get the conversation off of himself and back onto his newfound companion. “What, ah, what do you travel in search of, friend?”
The Caravaneer is onto his fourth drink, which has done a fine job in lubricating his tongue. Draining the rest of his glass and wiping residual sand dust off his lips, he says, "What don't I travel for? I mean, I avoid areas plagued by war, disease, and wyverns that can tear apart steel with their bare talons, but other than that, the world is my Hermitaur!"
Leaning over the table, he points over Laurentius's shoulder and out of the tent. Sitting across the street, looking like the main attraction to a carnival, is a giant red whale. "Y'see that, Swamp Brother? That's my ship. She's called the Arluq, and she navigates the skies as well as the seas. Useful fer the times y'need to find Wyverian villages built where most people get sick, either from the thin air or, say, lookin' down. Don't get me wrong. They're geniuses. Just...alone. But in a good way. Know what I'm sayin'?"

Carnell had to keep himself from groaning at the thought of possible having to fight more exotic versions of familiar foes. He quickly began to focus on what the Caravaneer said afterwards instead of that. “Well then, Caravaneer, you must have traveled far and through much treacherous land to gain such a title.”
"Very lucky indeed. If you hadn’t called out when you saw me, I would have probably been trapped wandering about for a long while," Carnell hummed in agreement, "So where is this caravan headed?"
You don't know the half of it, he thinks. "Harth. Underground home of the Troverians. Short people with big talent, especially when it comes to buildin' ships. See, friend, we're expandin' our territory. There's only so far we can go by land." The Caravaneer grins. It's a reckless, somewhat manic thing. "We're gonna catch some waves instead!"
(( hey guys. sorry I haven't been too active. I work a lot this week (and next week too) and that gets me stressed out and then I can't write. please bear with me! ))
A princess? Of what province?
And I don’t suppose she has a dragon problem as well.
[The Caravaneer shrugs.]
Dunno. I don't take quests, I just hear of 'em. What's word on the street again? She's from High Lool? Name's Princess Selta?
No, that can't be right. Who names their kid after a Seltas...? Think her parents want her to grow into a Seltas Queen?
"Legendary princess wants people to take out a load of monsters in the Arena? Didn't think we had any left! Princesses, that is. There will never be an end to monsters."
It’s a figure of speech, but don’t tell him that, thinks Laurentius. A drink is in order, which will (eventually, at least) give truth to the lie of friendship—and disoriented or not, the pyromancer knows not to turn down a free drink. Mayhap this place won’t look so bloody strange through the bottom of a bottle.
He glances around himself again, regarding a town apparently built out of whatever they could find, and reconsiders this notion. No, he thinks, no amount of booze could wipe the strange off this place.
Still, there’s people here, and ones not keen on cutting his throat (at least not yet). It’s a far cry from the lonely climes of Lordran, f’certain, and it’s something the pyromancer relishes in.
"Point the way, good Caravaneer," Laurentius says. "I’d be greatly obliged."
It isn't long before the two find a shady tent with a semblance of a tavern inside. Tanzian ale is poured over ice crystals, some of which have a bit of grit to them as well. Out of the sun, the heat is almost bearable. Almost.
It seems like the Caravaneer has hardly finished his first before his second drink rolls out. As he gargles it down like water, he says, "So! If ya don't mind me sayin', yer a bit of a conundrum to me. Ya smell like a ripe Powderstone, ya look like a Rajang's backside, and ya seem to have crossed the desert with nothin' but that little axe to protect ya. I mean all ah that in the best way possible. Takes somethin' special to pull that off!"
The World of Monsters (Closed Starter for cxravaneer)
"Jaggis, hm? I have to admit, I am far more used to fighting enormous felines and mobile plant life rather than large, bipedal reptiles."
He couldn’t help but puff out his chest a bit in pride with the Caravaneer’s compliment. Like he had just said, the Jaggis seemed to be more of a bother than a threat, and the Black Knight had a sneaking suspicion that there were larger fish in the pond.
"I’m Carnell, a Black Knight of the kingdom of Lordran," That charred helmet somehow held a curious expression as it turned to the man next to him, "What of your name?"
A hearty chuckle. "We have those out here too. Don't ya worry, pardner!"
Lordran? He has a weird feeling he's heard that before. He files it away in the back of his mind. A destination for another time, perhaps. "They call me the Caravaneer. There are many like me, but only one's earned a capital C! Speakin' of which--" He pats the seat between them, thumbs over his shoulder. "You've stumbled onto the Caravan! Lucky we were passin' through, eh?"
