as much as i love alexs le as a va its really hard to get used to him voicing akashi in the eng dub 😭
i think he gets akashi's general tone down with the smoothness and even-keeled nature of his voice, prolonging some of his vowels/words etc which feels very like akashi to me. unfortunately i do think the biggest issue is just that. his voice is way too deep for akashi i fear 😭 like i personally think akashi having a pretty distinctively high voice is part of his charm in the original japanese dub, it makes him seem more unassuming to the general person and adds an extra layer to his character with this guy who's shorter than most other players around him and with this high voice commanding respect from said other players. but his voice in the eng dub being deeper than aomine's and kagami's is kinda crazy ngl LOL 😭
like in general i actually really like the english dub and even prefer some voices (and some scenes) over the japanese dub but akashi's voice. man idk if ill ever get used to it LMAO

Kagami is actually the first to confess; while Akashi started catching feelings much earlier, he tried to push them down for fear of causing tension between him and Kuroko (sidenote: Kuroko is, in fact, their wingman for helping get them together LMAO)
At the beginning they call each other by their last names, but Kagami quickly gets used to calling Akashi 'Sei' and likes to tease him about it in public
That is, until he noticed that Bokushi didn't appear to like the nickname much, and started calling him specifically 'Juurou' which he seems to like more
Akashi, for his part, doesnt start calling Kagami 'Taiga' until well into their relationship for a variety of reasons (1. He's afraid of the connotation with using given names considered Kagami's history with Bokushi and 2. He was afraid of using more intimate callings because he wasn't sure their relationship would last)
In general Akashi is the more insecure one in their relationship, constantly worrying that he'll do something to finally push Kagami away despite all his assurances that that'll never happen
Kagami's main love language is cooking/baking, and he tends to surprise Akashi with his favorite meals after particular bad days to help cheer him up
Akashi's main love language is spending quality time with Kagami, as thats something he values especially with his busy schedule; gift giving is also a large part, but he reserves that for more special occassions such as birthdays and anniverseries, since Kagami tends to get awkward with the more lavish gifts Akashi gives him (despite Akashi reassuring him he can afford them, lol)
Akashi wears a two-piece silk pajama set to bed. Kagami teases him relentlessly for this
In retaliation sometimes Akashi 'forgets' to pack part of the set and steals Kagami's clothes (Kagami does not mind this in the slightest)
Akashi LOVES holding hands with Kagami and will do so anytime he can, even in public
Kagami gets easily embarrassed with PDA but gets (slightly) better at handling it as their relationship continues; if he's in front of the GOM he's less prone to getting flustered but in front of anyone else is guaranteed to make him go beet red
Despite this, he quite adores physical affection (when in private) and indulges Akashi whenever he wants cuddles etc and initiates a lot of their physical touch, be it hugs from behind, kisses on the neck, etc
Akashi is very much the little spoon and prefers laying on Kagami's chest or being spooned from behind
In terms of emotional sensitivity Kagami…isn't the best, per se, especially during the beginning of their relationship; while he's definitely not as oblivious as people often say he is he's still not quite in-tune when it comes to Akashi's emotions--though this is also due in part to Akashi not being very expressive when it comes to his more intense emotions and having the general tendency to bottle up emotions as a by-product of his upbringing; however, he slowly starts to let down his walls and is more vocal about any issues he has with Kagami/their relationship
When it comes to physical affection Bokushi normally doesn't initiate so Kagami is typically the one to initiate most contact when he fronts; however, he melts into it much faster than Oreshi does on most occasions, and though doesn't say so out loud very much appreciates Kagami's touches as they're one of the things that helps ground him
The main reason that drew Kagami to Akashi was how genuine he was and how easily Akashi was able to just be himself around Kagami without fear of judgement, especially when it came to his shortcomings
Kagami finds Akashi's tenacity in life and willingness to change and better himself extremely admirable and is something he looks up to a lot, and that despite this he's still so willing to be vunerable around Kagami and that he trusts him enough to let down his walls and get to experience life without the constant threat of perfection on his shoulders
Kagami always ends up bending down slightly to properly kiss Akashi, but sometimes he'll make Akashi stand on his toes to reach him because he thinks its cute (he does this most often with Bokushi, because he thinks he looks cute mad -> Bokushi then proceeds to yank his collar to bring him down to his height)
Speaking of height differences, considering Kagami's height he's very used to putting things on the top shelves so 9/10 Akashi has to stand on his toes to reach things in the apartment; to combat this, as a gag gift Kagami bought him a stepping stool to use instead. Akashi was Not Amused™ (he does still use it. very reluctantly might he add)
Bokushi was the one to first acknowledge their feelings towards Kagami (though it can be said Oreshi was just in denial as well)
Kagami tries his best to understand Akashi's condition and accommodate him as best as he can; he's gotten good at recognizing Akashi's triggers and can generally tell who is fronting when
One of their first major fights was involving Bokushi; before Bokushi allowed himself to actually act on his mutual feelings towards Kagami he would avoid him like the plague (short, curt responses to texts, ignoring calls altogether, not actively engaging in physical moments, etc), until eventually Kagami had enough and confronted him about it; this resulted in their first official 'break' of which both parties were obviously quite devastated at; thankfully, they were able to resolve this after some not-so-subtle mediation from Kuroko
Kagami's name for Akashi in his contacts used to just be a pair of scissors until Akashi found out and forced him to change it from sheer mortification
Kagami (most of the time) isn't really bothered about the Scissors Incident™ all that much and generally considers it water under the bridge, going so far as to make small jokes about it; Akashi, however, is still utterly mortified at the incident and refuses to speak about it and gets quite upset whenever Kagami makes jokes about it
Kagami loves it whenever Akashi initiates hugs, and says he gives the best ones
