I remember drawing this late 2024, when I was at the peak of my hyper fixation with ace attorney, I remember not posting it, wanting to wait until I got a decent scanner so I could post it in better quality than a pic from my 2018 smart phone... but that still hasn't happened and I've decided to post it now since idk when I'll get myself a scanner set up :P, plus I'm happy with this being top post on my aa side blog for a good while.

I really enjoyed drawing this comic, it's of course based off the common hc of Miles hanging out with/supporting Phoenix not long after he got disbarred only to be cut off once he starts becoming concerned about Kristoph, it was also a good excuse to draw him and Trucy interacting ^u^ of course since these two are clearly family like.

✧∘* Ace Attorney Kandi ✧∘*

I have once again made more aa kandi! While there are so many more characters I could make kandi of I don't plan on making more for the foreseeable future as not only has my aa hyperfixation been gone for over a year now and I have made most of my faves (only fave I can think of not making kandi for is Tyrell Badd :P) as well as kandi for some other characters I felt are important ^u^. Overall I am very happy with all the characters I have made and how they all look XD.

❀ Langworth week: Day two, genderbent ❀

When I saw there was a Langworth hosted by @langworth-weekweek I knew I had to join in! So I decided to do day two and use this as an excuse to force myself to get back into doing digital art :D

Unfortunately I couldn't get this done in time for both the prompt and the week but at least I did eventually finish this and honestly I'm so happy with how it looks!

For Miles design I went with one I already did but for Shi-long I wanted to do something different to my first attempt and I much prefer this version. Idk what it is but the low ponytail I think really suits her ^u^

It was also very interesting getting back into the groove of digital art, I would say that the biggest difference is how I shade as I find my art looks best in cel shading style digitally but in most traditional mediums like crayons and alcohol markers I think a softer style works better :D but what do you guys think? Hope you all enjoy XD

❀ Iris and Shih-na hc doodles ❀

few days ago I got the impulse to draw Shih-na and Iris after getting a hc of them becoming cellmates in prison cuz timeline wise, Shih-na's identity is exposed only about a month after Iris goes to prison, meaning they could meet each other!

Which I think would be fun but in a kinda sad way cuz in my mind, Iris would try to be friends with Shih-na until learning why Shih-na is in prison and then feel conflicted af cuz, yeah Shih-na's a murderer but, Iris does seem to always try to see the best in others and is perhaps a bit too trusting of others (at least that's the impression I got of her from playing aa3 and seeing both her role in the last case and history with her twin.). Furthermore there are definitely some interesting parallels between these two, such as them both taking on fake identities (though Shih-na's identities are presumably made up and not talking someone else's identity).

Also this post is kinda a part two to my Iris and Lana hc post so I must mention that in my hc Shih-na also meets Lana in prison and Lana hates her. Why? Well it's cuz Lana did used to be the chief procecutor so she's definitely familiar with Shih-na (then Callisto) killing Byrne, Mack and almost Miles, plus she probably meet her in person prior to that case's events.

As for the drawing itself, it's not my fave as I still don't feel happy with how I draw Shih-na yet, I even re-drew her face in one of the drawings and it still looks off to me (TT O TT). but I really love how mix media and scrapbook this page looks! And will definitely do this more in future cuz it's just so fun to me! Hope you all enjoy too and my silly hc's ^▽^

❀♧ Pearl & Trucy ft. Mr Hat ♧❀

Few days ago I felt like sketching and after looking at pose refs (specifically for the top right sketch) I felt like drawing Pearl and Trucy post aa6, at least my hc of them lol.

Then I drew lawyer pearl (which I've already done fanart of here) and decided to reference official poses for both Mia and Maya and, also decided to go with coloured lines... unfortunately I don't really like how it ended up looking (I feel like I messed up the eyes >w<).

I also feel like the drawing I did of Pearl and Trucy looking at a phone was messed up (once again it's because I feel like I messed up Pearl's face!) but, at least I really like both they're outfits, because Pearl's is super cute imo, fairy kei inspired and, has a cat print cuz... aa2 reference :P and, Trucy's shirt says "poker face", which if you've played aa4 I'm sure you can guess the multiple meanings behind why that's on her shirt. Speaking of Trucy I think she at least came out okay in this drawing.

Luckily by contrast I like my other two drawings! Especially the one with Mr Hat, originally I was just going to draw Truly and Pearl sharing a drink, but then I thought that concept was too boring/not fun enough and asked myself "how can I make this more interesting and fun?", and decided the answer was, Mr Hat! He was surprisingly fun to draw so I might have to draw him more in future >:3 and I also changed up Pearl's hairstyle a bit more, really like the idea of her having long hair, definitely makes sense given every other Fey women has long hair (mostly, I know Misty has a bob during DL-6 and, who knows what Sister Bikini's hair looks like).

I also really love this page layout. As I'm sure you've noticed I really like to incorporate a scrap booking feel to a lot of my sketchbook pages, I think it suits my love of mix media art and maximalism XD

and one more random thing to add, I bought my first prismacolor pencil (cuz I've heard many good things about them), it's neon pink and, I used it a little bit in this drawing :3 idk how I feel about it yet, especially since I haven't used coloured pencils in my art for a decade or longer :P but so far I enjoy using it and I enjoy using many art mediums in general (incase you couldn't already tell lol).

✭ Vaguely Ema Skye themed page ✭

Few days ago I felt like drawing some aa comics based off random hc's of mine, these comics are set vaguely between aai2 and aa4 (probably closer to aai2 based off character designs). then because both comics were Ema themed I decided to fill out to rest of the page with an Ema drawing and also force myself to use some screentone I was given half a decade ago because I wanted to force myself to stop being scared of using it and I'm glad I did because it was fun to use and I would love to use more in the future but idk when cuz I know screentones are super pricy (TT O TT).

♢ Random ace attorney fanart♢

A few days ago I finished up some ace attorney fanart I did. For this page I wanted to draw some cute demin outfits I saw while window shopping and decided to draw some ace attorney characters wearing them!

First I drew Maya cuz she's an icon, then I drew Rayfa cuz I've yet to draw her and this outfit felt like it'd suit a teen. Lastly I drew Nahyuta cuz again, hadn't drawn him yet and I kinda feel bad it's taken me this long to draw aa6 characters (especially since they're overhated!).

I also did coloured lineart cuz I got some overpriced coloured brush liners that I'm forcing myself to use XD and while I made some mistakes overall I quite like how it looks :D I'm also a little frustrated I forgot to draw both Maya's and Rayfa's necklaces (since it's a hidden rule for my fanarts they always wear them, though I guess this rule is no longer hidden lol) but maybe their in Maya's bag or something lol

✧ Lunch hangout ✧

Yesterday I finished a marker drawing I have been working on on and off for a week because I felt like drawing a scene rather than characters posing in some ambiguous space XD.

I ended up drawing Kay, Ema, Franziska and Maya all hanging out because I really love the idea of these four being friends and just going to a takeaway restaurant together even though they're all very different from each other. I had a lot of fun drawing this, not only because I designed a fun takeaway space (cuz most takeaway chain restaurants look like sad generic hipster cafes if they've been updated/built in the last 15 years and I was not going to draw that!) but also because I do like how much story telling I was able to convey in this drawing and, I definitely want to try and draw more story telling art this year!

Only things I dislike about this drawing is Ema's outfit, though I think it's mostly the colours throwing me off because, I was avoiding giving her a green outfit, and also avoiding giving her a pink shirt (cuz Maya's shirt is pink) leading to it's current colour palette... maybe the pants bring brown would've saved it? Idk. Still like the design though (it's inspired by mid 2000s fashion because that definitely influenced her aa4 design imo).

But I really like everything else, with Maya putting chips on her burger being my favourite part. Because it's something I did when I used to enjoy fast food and, I definitely feel like Franziska is snobby enough to judge Maya for doing this XD. I also had a lot of fun designing all the outfits, especially Kay and Maya's because their outfits reference game lore relating to them both :3.

Oh and I drew Kay flat cuz I was talking to an aa fan online, and they hc Kay and non-binary and think Kay would totally enjoy being more aerodynamic post top surgery, and while I'm not sure what gender I personally hc Kay as, I do like the idea of Kay getting top surgery regardless of gender and enjoying being more aerodynamic as it makes being a great thief a lot easier! :D

Anyways I hope you all enjoy this drawing, I most likely won't post more stuff in near future, let alone aa fanart, as I have a big thing happening in my personal life next week (if all goes well!) that will unfortunately mean I'll probably not be able to draw much, if at all, over the following weeks.

Furthermore my aa hyperfixation is kinda going away, I think? Still love the franchise, just not as intensely as I have over the past few months so that may affect how often I feel like doing aa fan works. Hope you all understand :-)

♡ A bunch of Edgeworth's ♡

A few days ago I felt like drawing Miles Edgeworth in some frilly shirts and a few female versions (which you can view as a gendebent or trans version idc) because... well I have no reason other than Miles is my fave, and I was feeling especially self indulgent for this page of my sketchbook XD

I will say I had a lot of fun drawing all of these, especially picture 3, that one is definitely my fave cuz I feel like I nailed the facial expression and the pose. But I honestly love all of these pictures, because they were all very fun to draw. I also decided my female chiefworth has a bun, I just think it suits her (and yes she's also doing the same pose as Miles in his aa5 illustration XD).

As for male chiefworth, I like the idea of him having specifically a fluffy ponytail because I hc his hair is fluffy expect for his bangs cuz I just think that's neat. Oh and all of these outfits are inspired by the ones on the blog lolita-wardrobe :3.

✦ More Ace Attorney Kandi! ✦

Few days ago I made more aa character themed kandi! Of course I still have a lot more characters I need to make Kandi of but for now I'm happy with the one's I've made :D

Also Shi-Long has red hearts in his bracelet because I'm a shipping menace, and while I ship him with way too many characters, my fave ships are langworth and langna. So given both Miles and Shih-na are red themed characters, the red hearts work for both ships :P

❀ Kay Faraday and co. ❀

Today I finished up this page in my sketchbook (unfortunately I forgot to write that I drew this on the 10th-12th until after I took a picture (⁠´⁠-⁠﹏⁠-⁠`⁠；⁠)) and I'm really happy with how it looks! This was my first time drawing both Tyrell Badd and Byrne Faraday and to my surprise I had a lot of fun drawing them! I'm a lot less expensive drawing both male passing and/or masc presenting characters and older characters. So when I started, I was worried I wouldn't enjoy drawing them, but then they ended up being a lot of fun to draw, and I think I translated them to my art style pretty well (⁠ㆁ⁠ω⁠ㆁ⁠).

I also had to draw both Calisto and Kay to complete the Yatagarasu theme, then to fill out space I decided to do colour swatches which look nicer then I expected. Definitely need to do this more in future >:3!

Finally I was going to draw a comic (hence the line) but unfortunately forgot the clear idea and layout in my head (⁠´⁠-⁠﹏⁠-⁠`⁠；⁠). I knew I should've quickly sketched the idea out or documented it some other way but alas, I didn't. So intead I drew my take on adult Kay (set post AA4 of course). Aside from unfortunately doing the lineart a bit too thick around her right eye I really like this drawing!

I stole the concept of her wearing Tyrell's jacket from this amazing and super cool design and tumblr post because it looks cool and ties into my hc that Tyrell adopted Kay after her father was killed. Then I gave her blue shorts that both reference her kid design, and teen design (cuz in her teen design she has her shirt sleeves folded up like these shorts), her dad's blue scarf, and a crop top that's inspired by the top she wears as a teen, but I hope by cropping it and making it form fitting it looks more athletic, which I think suits an active character like Kay. Oh and she has a long braid because I think it looks cool.

A few days ago I was doing some sketches of shoes (to try and improve drawing them) but then around 3 am I got sick of sketches shoes and drew... all of this.

I will say sketch 1 is the only one I dislike, I just feel like I didn't accurately capture what a pissed off Verity would look like. But the rest I like. Especially sketch 3, it's kinda uncanny to me but idk, I feel like it's oddly fitting. Random fact the facial expressions in sketch 3 and 4 are both from stock images of the same model lol.

✭ Orange and Yellow AA fanart ✭

Over the past few days I felt like doing some more scrapbook like pages in my art journal and decided to do some fanart of orange and yellow themed aa characters :D.

I first drew Athena and unfortunately I'm not super happy with the outfit I drew for her. I tried to make it both sporty and girly (as she's an active character but also very feminine) but I think I failed at both, I also feel like I should've incorporated more blue into the outfit, especially the shorts and maybe also jacket. At least I had fun doing some parts of the drawing with ink (instead of using just crayons for all the colours like I normally do), especially the hair!

Then I drew Larry for the first time and gave him a pretty basic but kinda fashionable outfit that I think suits him well. To be honest, he turned out a lot better then expected as I thought I wouldn't enjoy drawing him, especially since I'm not a Larry fan. I don't hate him but, he has a lot of annoying character "quirks" that I'm just not into. I do agree that he is treated too harshly in the games and I especially dislike everyone crapping on his art when it's not bad! Especially his watercolour paintings.

Then I drew another character for first time, Juniper! I had fun drawing her in a cute yellow cottagecoreish dress with gumboots (cuz I associate those with gardening) and I definitely want to draw her more. She's one of the few AA5 characters that aren't from the DLC case that I love (unfortunately most AA5 characters I'm not a fan of, expect for the DLC case cuz I like almost every character in that are in the DLC case). I already have ideas for drawing Verity Gavèlle mentoring her as that's definitely a hc of mine :-D.

And last, but definitely not least, I had to draw Shi-Long. In my mind he is the yellow aa character! I won't lie, his outfit was the hardest for me to come up with. Trying to draw an outfit I think looks cool but is masculine is a major weak point for me (⁠´⁠-⁠﹏⁠-⁠`⁠；⁠), still I did my best and I like the results. Especially the shoes, as I wanted to give him cool boots to make up for his hideous canon boots, still don't feel like I'm great at drawing shoes but, I am definitely trying to get actively better and I think I am :P.

I also make custom scrapbook paper for both page bgs due to not having a lot of orange/yellow paper which helped use white paper I don't like drawing on :-)

❀ Red investigations women ❀

A few days ago I felt like using some scrapbooking paper I found and decided to use some in my book. A lot of it was red so I went with a red theme and drew both Verity and Shih-na on paper from an abandoned sketchbook I found.

I had a lot of fun drawing these two in custom outfits. Verity's outfit was loosely based off many whimsy gothic and lolita fashion references and considering this is my first time drawing her I really like how she turned out! Expect for the shoes, I definitely need to study more interesting shoe designs -_- because her heels are boring to me (especially compared to her shoes in her official outfit, Verity imo has the best shoes in ace attorney).

And for Shih-na, I wasn't even sure if I was going to draw her or Kay, or Verity again at first, because I wasn't quite sure on what kind of outfit I felt like drawing next (all I knew was that I wanted to draw an AA character in a custom outfits), so I looked threw all the refs I saved and found this shirt (only could find a Pinterest link in my backwards search sorry) and it felt very secretary to me and given Shih-na's is introduced as Shi-Long's secretary I decided I'd draw her wearing this kinda silly looking shirt XD and I think it's a really cute outfit! At first I did consider making the pants black but I'm glad I decided to make them red instead because it makes the shirt and shoes pop more, and yes the pants have a cute on the side as a slight reference to her canon outfit.

P.S: I decided I like drawing collar bones again, for now :P
