"Clearly I wasn't talking about disabled people-" yeah part of the problem is that the existence of disabled people just isn't considered in your worldview like that's the problem we're criticizing not a get out of jail free card
I know I sound like your mom but you kids need to stop fucking vaping
1) Vaping is confirmed to cause cancer. Vaping coats the lungs with toxic substances, such as heavy metals and benzene, which are known to cause cancer
2) Many vapes contain diacetyl, which, when inhaled causes popcorn lung, or scarring of the lung
3) Ultrafine particles, when being inhaled, can be lodged in the trachea (not good!)
4) Ultrafine particles can also constrict the arteries in the lungs potentially causing A HEART ATTACK
5) Vaping is relatively new. Not much studies have been done in comparison to tobacco. Plus, the vaping companies are powerful people. There is a large chance that they are purposely downplaying and even burying any evidence that vaping is harmful - just like the tobacco companies before them. They do not care about you, or your health, or the truth. They only care for money
Also STOP VAPING INDOORS AROUND OTHER PEOPLE. Holy shit, if you're gonna wreck your lungs at least give me the option not to wreck mine.
It’s such an issue that the MTA had to run a campaign about it
yeah okay ill reblog that
Please I’m begging yall as an asthmatic, your fruit-flavored vapor will still give people around you who are smoke-sensitive attacks. So will weed. Don’t do it inside; if you’re at a bus stop or something try to not stand right next to people or move downwind of them if you can.
The people who insist AI is smarter than a human are doing their fucking damnedest to manifest that
"AI is smarter than a human!" -> AI is smarter than YOU. YOU feel it is smarter because YOU lack the free-thinking needed to recognize its errors and your own dependency
I'm having quite a bit of fun with making PNGtuber models. I wish I had access to veadotube too so I could play around more but I don't have the money for that right now.
Season 3 of Twin Peaks sure does turn the strange up to an eleven. I'm enjoying it though, even if I have no idea what's happening half the time.

One thing that always fucks me off about the UK Government wanting to 'get people back to work' is that they don't actually commit to anything that would actually help it. And by that I mean force anything on business owners.
Sure, some people can't work. But there's plenty others who'd love to be able to work but can't find any job willing to accommodate even the smallest need.
Some jobs can be done entirely from home, and the only thing that gets in the way is the egos of business owners who want to puff out their chests and have staff on-site.
For people who don’t know me, I’m a full time powerchair user with a pretty significant and visible disability. Often when I mention I’m in work people say things like “good for you for not letting your disability stop you” or “if you can work anyone can” which drives me up the wall because A) there will always be people who can’t work, including probably me one day, and B) it’s not me that’s remarkable here – it’s that my employer does more than the bare minimum required by law/ convention.
I’m only able to work because my employer is a very progressive organisation that accommodates my disability without fuss. Including changing venues to be wheelchair accessible as soon as it was possible to do. And hiring me even though I can’t physically do everything that other youth workers can (like cleaning). They know that we can make it work and I’ll always do my best to find something helpful to do when cleaning is happening so it works out. There’s been a lot of figuring it out as we go, but they’ve been more than willing to do that with me.
Most people hiring youth workers wouldn’t have given me a chance just from looking at me. For a start most of the youth work venues locally aren’t wheelchair accessible to start with, including one that my organisation used. The difference is that the other organisations have an “oh well, what can you do?” attitude, and the place I work went “oh shit, this is bad for everyone. We need to change that” and then they did.
And even without the physical barriers, the interpersonal ableism is probably an even bigger barrier to employment. Every now and then we go to youth work conferences and the people from other orgs are incredibly patronising and always assume I’m a volunteer rather than employed (Because who would employ a wheelchair user? Not them for sure). Last time we went to this conference I got several “compliments” on being able to drive my wheelchair through (very wide) doorways, and people being baffled to the point of feeling the need to comment on the fact I couldn’t lift a kettle and asked a colleague to help me make tea. Several people wanted to talk to me about my wheelchair, no one wanted to talk to me about youth work (the only thing they spoke to my colleagues about was youth work). When I mentioned during an icebreaker activity that I go to a sailing literally everyone in the room including the facilitator (but not my colleagues) went “Awwww” in unison like they’d just seen a particularly fluffy looking puppy on a surfboard.
These conferences are a full day of back to back ableism so bad that last time my boss told me unprompted on the way home that if I’m not up to dealing with it then she would rather I just didn’t go next year and did something nice for myself instead. (Which again probably isn’t something most employers would ever do)

The reason why God was so involved in human affairs a long time ago but then noped out after Jesus is because God is going through the same motions for every animal species: making a covenant, giving commandments, and sending down his own child to die in the form of that species. I know this because I felt an odd urge to swallow a mouse yesterday and, when I questioned it, I received a vision from God saying that He was on mice right now, and the mouse I was about to swallow was the mouse-equivalent of Jonah. Tomorrow I'm supposed to spit him out in a den of sinful mice so that he can squeak to word of God at them. I wish that little guy the best.
