still alive, just focusing 100% on collaging. latest things requires a lot of delicacy and attention. if I get inpatient I'll sever and ruin the asset.

I'm still alive BTW. I've been working like wild. Collaging here and there. Ugh things are getting scary in the real world. I finished reading neuromancer and started mona Lisa overdrive.

this took be an hour
this is the first collage I’ve been able to use larger assets with. the statue bound up in a ribcage is supposed to represent the feeling of being trapped by anxiety. bound up by the ribcage and stuffed in between rocky terrain.

this is an old one. using one of my biggest assets I have. really squeezed it into the background image. that ribcage took a good 20 minutes to cut out. I wanted it to fit better but it still did its job and fit my vision. almost all of my collages poems have to do with communication issues brought upon me by autism. I find myself more able express myself thru collaging and assembling collage poetry than speaking out loud. what I can't say thru poetry I can say thru the images I use in the collages or words I find in novels. this is therapy to me. I'm happy. I hope to combat winter and the depression it brings with collaging.
proof that I’m still alive. I’ve been really focused on collaging. all my free time goes into it. thus my absence on here. eventually I’ll create a tumblr for my collaging and then I’ll be more active on here. my collages have gotten bigger in scale. giant pages for the background with slightly smaller assets place within it. I’m still not finalizing them, just assembling them without gluing them. it enables me to reuse assets for future ‘collages’. the photo documentation serves as blueprints. allowing me to pull them up in case I want to finalize them into an actual physical collage. I’m just photographing them with my phones camera, using the natural lighting provided from the window in this cafe. this method only allows me to collage in that specific area of the cafe and only during the daytime. artificial light creates glares on my glossy assets. natural light evenly lights the whole piece without tarnishing the photo. this is only a problem with my current method of collaging. once I finalize them into physical form lighting will not play a part of it.
I love this piece of collage !!
thanks bud. I'll try to upload more that I've done in the past months. I've been v lazy.
