His voice was gravely and impatient, yet contained kind and caring undertones, or so you thought…. "Arquebus has been getting a bit too much muscle lately so we’ve been asked to cut off a limb or two. Down south is a base where they are housing some experimental AC’s that they’ve been working on and our job is to destroy them. Rather simple job, hard to fuck up i imagine but I’m sure you know I’ll be keeping an eye on you either way." He looked up from he dataslate and the briefing table. "Briefing over. Now go suit up, we've got a job to do." You sat like a dog at attention. Not because you wanted to, or because you were expected to, but because you had been through this same song and dance countless times. 37 missions since Loveless had assigned you with this new handler… Somehow they were worse than Him. Worse beatings, harsher punishments…

You sat in your AC's cockpit. Tubes connected to the large neural ports in your spine and coral-based drugs were fed through your IV tubes along your arms. They made you lightheaded, but finally, all the noise in your head seemed to stop. You could finally think straight. "Augmented Human C4-318 Entering standby mode." Your cameras come online right as He climbs in His own AC it seems, as it rises from a slouched position over it's tetrapod legs. His deadpan voice rang over comms, "We're approaching the dropzone, mutt. Behave, and I might just 'forget' why I have to keep deploying with you instead of running tactical up here." Your ACs were lifted and rotated over the bay doors as they opened. Red lights around the garage began to flash. The chopper's large bay doors opened below and you could hear the sound of the rotors spinning outside. "Dropping…" His voice would ring over comms. It wasn't a long drop. Maybe 6 seconds or so, and you had activated your assault thrusters before you even hit the ground. He had done so too, trying to keep up with you so she could watch you. A Heavy Stun Needle Launcher seized from an old Arquebus target sat menacingly on His right shoulder. A Pilebunker blasthole spear sat in reserve on His left while He sported His signature dual custom Chang Chens, courtesy of Balam before their fall. They were splintered now, Balam. Remnants of their fleet and their subsidiaries remained on Rubicon, stranded. Support would probably arrive soon but it didn't matter.

You touched down before your boosters ran dry, your ACs reverse-jointed legs sliding to a stop in the snow-covered landscapes. He slid in next to you. "There's the facility, 318," as He remarked, 3 blue trails could be seen flying from over the rear of the facility. "Seems they've noticed us before we've rung the doorbell. They're on an approach vector! Kick it, mutt!" Those words rang through your ears and through your entire body. Finally some action! You readied your dual Ludlows and activated your targeting array. "Augmented Human C4-318 Entering combat mode."
