"With all due respect, Doctor, if I had a nickle for every time one of you people told me it wasn't coming back again, I'd be a lot richer then the daughter of a billionaire." She frowned, "I've been fighting this since I was three. It's not just going to go away."

"You haven’t been at school for two days," he reminded her as he inspected her eyes, ears, and mouth with a small light.  "Is anything going on in your life that you’d like to talk about?  Perhaps you’re experiencing a lot of stress?"

Emily suffers from Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), cancer of the blood and bone marrow. She was diagnosed when she was three and has been in and out of remission ever since, however in recent months it has spread to her brain. This causes nausea, headaches, seizures, fever, weight-loss and fatigue.

"Oh… Hi…." Thea smiled at the young girl, stopping in her walking so she could assist her. "It’s just….back down that way. Walk to the end of this street and then turn left"
