François being so tall and thin reminded me of don Quijote for some reason which is tbh kind of funny but fitting and it's making me wonder whether he was delusional asf even before ascension... Was that intentional? Or am I over thinking it as always lol? I adore your art-style btw it's so lovely <3

Yess, I see him as a delusional nobleman. He's not as crazy as Don Quijote, and obviously not as kind hearted. But to answer your question, yes it was an aesthetic inspiration!
