So for context, this was the joke I made:
If you wanna know their logic, it’s headache-inducing but identifiable:
They think being trans is a creepy fetish thing, only engaged in by degenerate sexual predators and their victims, who get tricked into thinking they’re trans through these predators’ grooming and manipulation. (Unflattering phrasing intentional because that’s literally how a lot of them talk about this)
My joke required the belief that children can be trans, an idea which they think fundamentally can’t be true.
Therefore, my joke can’t have been about actual experiences I literally had as a young trans girl. My joke must have been a projection of my feelings onto other people’s childhoods, a sinister insertion of transness (which to them is, again, a disgusting fetish only engaged in by predators and the people manipulated and groomed into being their victims) into the experience of playing pokemon as a young kid.
And therefore, they further conclude that this joke is specifically a trap which I set for young/teenage boys on Twitter, who would see this, remember some instance when they picked the girl trainer while playing pokemon, and start talking to me online, at which point I would pressure and manipulate them into thinking they’re trans women and starting HRT.
(That’s another thing. These transphobes are obsessed in particular with the idea that trans women are tricking ‘their victims’ into starting HRT. The person who wrote the most popular hate-tweet about me also wrote a thread immediately after the hate-tweet titled “How Transpeople Manipulate You Into Starting HRT”. They’re for some reason utterly fucking terrified of the idea that someone, particularly anyone they perceive as a boy, could start HRT but then decide it’s not right for them.)
